- Professors are real good, they have real world knowledge like some of them are part time, they work in MNC's, some are from University of Waterloo.
- Access to wide range of tools, systems through the university.
- All the facilities, like gym, swimming, pool, student union floor, cafeteria, sports, etc.
Dislikes
- Paid Parking for students as well.
- There are a few foreign professors, who don't really speak or understand english that well, and it creates a communication gap with them.
- Housing is very expensive if you go through the university.
Campus Life
- I am aware of 2 campuses, Waterloo and Stanford. I studied at the Waterloo Campus.
- It has Library, Gym, Swimming pool, Medical Clinic, Pharmacy, Cafeteria, Students Union Floor.
- Major festival is St. Peter's Day; it's a huge parade in Waterloo.
- There are trips for Camping, Niagara Falls, and Canada's Wonderland, and there are also many hiking trails nearby the university.
Fees
- You have to pay 9 - 11k CAD in fees each semester, and you need to pay about 26k CAD in advance before coming to Canada, this will all be adjusted in the fees. (This is like you pay for 3 semesters in advance.)
- The total fees for 4 semesters are 35-40k CAD. And this includes your health card, you ID card (which is also the bus pass, only around the KWC region), and most of the university-related expenses.
- Monthly expense for a single person -
- Rent - 450-500 (shared room) / 900-1000 (private room) monthly
- Utility - 50-60 / month
- Grocery - 240-280 / month
- Travel - free in KWC region
- Miscellaneous - 100-150 / month
- Total - about 1000 CAD

Likes
- Good campus life.
- Plenty supported by the university especially by the wellness centre,
- Very vibrant international community with tons of events.
Dislikes
- Course selection is bad.
- The department of my program is not that helpful.
- 2-3 courses are online which does not make sense.
Campus Life
- My college has 4 locations. They are in Waterloo (where I go), Brantford, Milton, and Kitchener.
- My campus has a library, a wellness centre, around 4-5 study areas (from large halls to medium sized rooms), 2 fields, and a gym which has swimming pools, basketball and volleyball courts, and a badminton court.
- Homecoming football game is the most popular event at my university, but there are multiple other events that keep happening over the time.
- They are all shared on different instagram accounts managed by the university and also through a newsletter.
Fees
- Per term tuition fee was $8700 when I started (it is $9300 now). Other than tuition fee there are incidental fees which include dental insurance, student insurance, bus pass fee, gym fee, and other misc. fees.
- The fee is charged semester (or term) wise. One term is 4 months long.
- The monthly expense is somewhere between $700 - $1000 depending on how much I eat out and from this, my rent was 700, 200 for groceries, 48 for phone plan, and around 50-100 for eating out.

Overview
Lower tuition costs, a good business program, the chance of co-op.
Fees
$30000 CAD a year
Overview
Because it had a small campus and a community feel. I enjoyed the feel of the campus when I was researching it. Additionally, this was one of the few universities in Canada where they did offer a co-op program to art students.
Fees
It costs 20,000 Canadian dollars per year for an international student. This is not in addition to fees such as student union. We also pay extra for health insurance. There is also an extra charge if we miss appointments on campus. Often we find random charges and financial holds on our accounts
Overview
It had the program I wanted and has a really good community. The campus is nice and small so it is easy to get to know everyone. The professors are nice and helpful. The university staff help make the school feel welcoming so I went.
Fees
The fee structure is in the first year you pay for the mandatory one card and get the meal plan of your choosing on it. You pay for your tuition and residence. Other costs can come in like health care, student union. You can be charged for dropping a class later and other fees like textbooks.
Overview
I opted for this university because of the unique program that it provided. Political science BA with an LLB Law degree in England. It also had a small campus which made it more personalized. It is number 1 in student satisfaction.
Fees
Laurier tuition is less than. Mostly it provides a basic fee of courses. Although you must pay more to use the health options, if you lose your student ID.
Overview
It was one of the only options for me to take Kinesiology because in high school I didn't take advanced math or chemistry. I have always loved the school because my older sister studies here as well, so when I got accepted it was an easy decision.
Fees
The fees are paid every semester online through a credit card. You pay for tuition and then on top of that about 20 different club fees that go towards helping out the school. Other charges include textbooks, a lab coat and a dissecting kit for me. I don't find the cost at my school very high compared to other schools which are nice in case you are responsible for your own tuition. Another fee that applies to me is rent, which I pay monthly from May-May every year I live here.
Overview
Because I got to move away from home and experience living on my own as well as gaining the freedom of having my own place without someone always asking me questions. As well as the program here at Laurier is amazing for business.
Fees
The fee structure is you pay your fees twice so basically once in September and then another time in January. Other charges have to be textbooks which are so expensive and you can?t even buy used ones bc each textbook has a code for an online class.
Overview
Friends and a good social life. This school offers a lot of clubs and extra school activities. Laurier has a good party life and also is good for all kind of students who may not like partying, the gym is also really nice
Fees
It's about 4000$ per semester and there are a lot of other chargers, and I live at school and I pay $645 a month.
Overview
I chose Laurier because of the small campus size, program reputation, and it is close to my home town. Laurier has smaller class sizes which makes learning a more personal experience and you are able to get more attention from your professors!
Fees
First year I paid the largest amounts of money for tuition and residence costs. Although there were many other charges such as meal plan, bus pass and activity fees. There were many other little fees worked into the invoice for many different things.
