What Students Say
Likes
- Because of the stability that Canada provides for immigrants and also because this is quite an economical course in such a high ranked university
- It is top ranked university in Canada and offers a lot of opportunities along with extra-curricular activities. There are a lot of societies which helps to know people from different backgrounds and the faculty is really good.
Dislikes
- There could be more focus on career networking events. The course curriculum can be made more interactive, even after being enrolled in in-campus program, certain classes are moved to virtual, which should not be the case
Required Exams for Admission
The overall experience has been so good so far. The course curriculum is really good and faculties are well versed with their subjects and helpful. There are a lot of clubs, societies gym activities and extracurricular to participate in, apart from the work.
Course Curriculum
The overall course structure is quite good and relevant to the job market here, A lot of focus is on understanding Canadian market, which really helps being an international student.
Faculty
The faculty is really good and highly qualified. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:50. They are very respondent over emails and also always willing to help during and outside classes. Professor Doina Nugent and professor Joanna Drakakis have taken my first two subjects on Business Communications and Business Fundamentals respectively and both are incredible.
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure is very modernized and beautiful in architecture. The building for my course has recently been constructed last year, so it’s very unique based on modern architecture. There are multiple events happening on a daily basis across multiple clubs and societies. The library is 5 storied and very good to spend time studying after class. There is wifi across the whole campus.
Placement
Placement after this course is mostly based on networking and getting referrals. As such, no companies have visited specific for the students of this course but most professors are hiring managers themselves, so it’s better to maintain good contact with them.
Accommodation
I live offcampus, so I don’t have much idea about in campus housing. It is relatively expensive as compared to rates in nearby locations from university
Exams
My scored: GRE 315 (162 quant 153 verbal); IELTS 8.5. The course just required IELTS and letter of reference, along with other basic documents like previous score cards, work experience certificate (if applicable). There was no interview. I submitted my CV and also LOR. LOR was provided by my manager. If you have no work experience, you can go for an academic LOR.
Fees
Around $16,000 CAD.
