Required Exams for Admission

IELTS (7)

Perfect amount of fun and studies . Honestly , it all depends on the students . The professors try their best and are always there for anyone who needs help with the course and some will also be there for u if u need them in general . It can be a little hard to make friends initially but Yorku provides a lot of facilities and hosts a lot of events which can help people know more about campus and make friends .

Course Curriculum

9

It is perfect amount of laboratory and theory. It actually focuses on learning new things and not rote learning.

Faculty

10

It is one professor per 150 students sometimes and sometimes it is 1 professor per 5 students . It depends on the course you take . The professors are super approachable , they always answer with enthusiasm and motivate everyone to ask questions and are super inviting and helpful . Especially professors like Paula Wilson , Nicole nivillac, Patricia Lakin Thomas and the list goes on. I haven’t had one professor who was rude or I ever had a problem with . It’s an amazing learning atmosphere .

Campus Life

10

Wifi is available everywhere along with library which is super quiet , a perfect place to study . We have two libraries on keele campus - Scott library and steacie library . Scott has many floor in it while steacie only has one . They’re right in front of each other . We have a whole building dedicated to sports along with a tennis court outside . Gym is free unless u want extra facilities , then it’s like $15 / 4 months or 8 months . Which is super cheap compared to other places . Finding clubs is not hard to find since they are always hosting events to increase their volunteers . We can see clubs on the side on the main hall ( vari hall ) all the time and they’re very approachable .

Placement

7

It is not easy to get into research , it needs a lot of patience and we gotta move step by step. Starting with volunteering which can be a little hard but not impossible since many professors take in students for summer if we email them on time .

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

There are places on campus where students can live as well as right outside campus which is a little more expensive but overall, better . There are meal plans for students residing on campus which can be helpful but overall , food is expensive as compared to outside.

Exams

IELTS 6.5 , GPA from my previous university minimum 7, and percentage from high school 70% minimum required. Had to submit SOP and that was enough due to my grades since they were good .

Fees

3k$/ 3 credits approximate . My program requires 120 credits in total to gradient - 4 years .

Scholarship

I received international student scholarship along with Bursary which is 2000$ For first year and 1200$ Third year, each semester.
