CLAT 2027 will be held on Sunday, 6 December 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In the final month of the CLAT 2027 exam, the winners are not the students who read the most. They are the ones who revise what they know, take mocks, and fix repeat mistakes. We have provided a one-month preparation guide for the CLAT exam 2027.
- Add no new books or sources in the last month. Revise, practise and analyse CLAT Syllabus, pattern, and important topics instead.
- Take about 8 to 10 full-length CLAT mock tests across the month, with the pace tapering in the final week.
- Aim for high accuracy, not maximum attempts, because every wrong answer costs 0.25 marks.
- Revise the last 12 months of current affairs, and focus most on the last 6. This will help you gain an edge in the CLAT GK section over other candidates.

CLAT 2027 30-Day Study Plan (Week-Wise)
The mock count stated below follows a pattern one mentor recommends:
- About 8 to 10 full mocks in 30 days, starting at 2 per week, rising to 3, then 1 to 2 in the last week, plus short section tests.
- A good weekly rhythm is 3 sectional practice days, 1 full mock day, 1 deep analysis day, 1 GK consolidation day and 1 light revision day
| Week | Goal | What to Do |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 (Days 1-7) | Diagnose and stabilise | Take 2 full mocks. Log every error by type (concept gap, careless, time). Start your monthly current affairs revision. Pick one primary source and stop adding others. |
| Week 2 (Days 8-14) | Fix weak sections | Take 3 mocks. Spend 4 days on sectional practice for your lowest-accuracy sections. Do one deep analysis day and one GK consolidation day. |
| Week 3 (Days 15-21) | Build speed and stamina | Take 3 mocks at 2:00 PM to match the real slot. Practise attempt order and section timing. Solve 2 to 3 previous year papers. |
| Week 4 (Days 22-28) | Taper and revise | Take 1 to 2 mocks only. Revise the error log, current affairs notes, and quant formulas. Keep practice light. |
| Days 29-30 | Rest and logistics | No new material. Skim short notes, sleep well, and sort your admit card and ID. |
How Many Hours Should You Study in the Last Month?
The number of study hours will always depend on how prepared you are for CLAT 2027. So the time differs because it depends on your situation:
| Student Type | Suggested Daily Study |
|---|---|
| School students (balancing boards) | 3 to 4 focused hours daily |
| Droppers | 6 to 7 hours |
| Serious aspirants near the exam | 6 to 8 well-planned hours |
CLAT preparation Tips: Sample 6-hour day (adjust to your hours):
| Time | Activity |
|---|---|
| 1 hour | Current affairs revision and one editorial |
| 2 hours | Legal Reasoning and Logical Reasoning practice |
| 1 hour | English passages and vocabulary from your error log |
| 1 hour | Quant (DI sets) or mock analysis |
| 1 hour | Previous year questions and revision of weak areas |

Current Affairs and GK
- Scope: Cover at least the last 12 months and focus on the last 6.
- Order: If you have a backlog, start from the most recent month and work backwards, since recent events are more likely to appear.
- Sources: Use a few sources and revise them often. The Consortium does not fix a time period for this section, so choose a primary source and make your own short notes.
- Revision loop: One method is a 7-day loop (revise last week’s items), a 30-day loop (last four weekly lists) and a 90-day loop (monthly summaries).
- Link static and current: Static GK and current affairs are connected, so do not ignore static topics

- Aim for 1 to 2 hours daily on Legal Reasoning.
- CLAT does not test complex legal knowledge learned by rote. Practise applying the principle given in the passage to the facts, even when it differs from real law.
- Do 2 to 3 passages daily and review why each wrong option fails.
- Add legal current affairs, such as important court rulings, to your GK notes.

English Language
- Keep a daily routine of reading, vocabulary, grammar and comprehension practice.
- Read editorials to build reading speed and analytical thinking, not to memorise news.
- Prioritise inference, tone and main-idea questions, and revise vocabulary from your error log only.

CLAT 2027 Previous Year Papers: How to Use Them
- Past papers from 2020 onwards show how questions are framed, especially in Legal and Logical Reasoning.
- Solve them under actual exam conditions.
- Use CLAT 2027 Previous Year Papers to spot repeat question types, then add those to your error log.
- Attempt each paper as a timed mock first, then analyse it using the five-step method above.
10. Mistakes to Avoid in the Last Month
- Adding new sources or heavy new topics. One guide notes that students who add sources in the final month retain nothing from any of them.
- Taking mocks without analysis. Every mock should lead to an action.
- Chasing attempts over accuracy. Wrong answers cost marks.
- Putting GK off. Revise current affairs in small daily blocks.
- Ignoring health. Sleep, food and breaks affect stamina in a two-hour paper. Stay calm and use deep breathing if anxiety rises.

Ans. No. Use your final weeks for revision, mocks and error correction. Avoid starting any new resources in the final phase.

Ans. They are essential for understanding question patterns, but pair them with mocks and current affairs revision. Solve them as timed tests.
Ques. What accuracy should I aim for in mocks?
Ans. One guide suggests staying within 75% to 80% at minimum. For a 100+ target, another says above 91%.
