  • The difficulty level of my course curriculum is hard, I would say. It is a mix of both theoretical and practical. Positive things are that the lab work and projects are very advanced to gain good hands-on experience. Negative aspect is that Few TAs are less knowledgeable and are not good enough to clear our doubts. 3 classes are scheduled in a day between 9 am and 6 pm. 60 - 90 students were there in a class. 50-80 will be Indians.

Fees

  • When I was studying, each student from our course had to complete 30 credits minimum. They charge $1500 per credit. We should pay the fee semester-wise. This is just the tuition fee, as there is no hostel; we used to stay in rented shared apartments. So, monthly expenses are around $1000-$1200, including house rent, electricity bill, water bill, groceries and other miscellaneous expenses.

  • There are courses of all kinds, some good in terms of content and faculty and difficult to score, some lightweight and easy to balance with heavy subjects and job applications.

Fees

  • Semester 1 was 15K USD, semester 2 was 16K USD, semester 3 was 16K, and last semester it was 7K.
  • The total fee is 55k usd, and living costs roughly 500 to 600 USD per month, around 15k USD for room sharing for 2 years.

  • At ASU, the academic curriculum is characterised by a solid mixture of theory and practical elements. With a consistent level of dedication, the degree programme varies in difficulty depending on the specific elective courses. These are designed to gradually increase the levels of challenge, requiring the application of even more refined critical thinking techniques in research and projects. The advantages are the benefits of the flexible elective and lab and research project selection that I mentioned above.
  • It is great being given this level of exposure; however, there can be a downside during the crunch period when multiple assignments and project deadlines pull up on you. One huge positive is at least I get to spare some time the classes require and I even get to concentrate on some personal research. About fifteen students in the class is the average, and this number is perfect since I grab some time to get one on one with my professors.

Fees

  • The cost of going to ASU is heavily tuition-focused and is paid per credit hour. For my graduate programme, tuition per semester is around $20,000 to $25,000, but that varies depending on the number of credit hours taken. There are no designated ASU residence halls for graduate students, so most of them live off campus.
  • Shared rent can range from $600 to $900 per month in Tempe, where utilities add another $100 to $150. Groceries and meals usually cost a student $200 to $300 a month, and transportation can be managed at $70--$100, depending on whether a bus pass is used.
  • On average, students have to pay around $1,000–$1,200 per month to cover living expenses, but transportation and whether a student is driving would also depend on lifestyle. In addition to the cost of living, students pay tuition each month. Tuition can be paid in different ways, and students are given the option of taking a payment plan.

  • The course curriculum is quite easy to follow. It’s more practical and less theoretical, which I consider the best part. You also get to interact with a diverse group of students.
  • One of the positive aspects is the wide variety of courses offered. Since my domain (User Experience) is broad, I had the opportunity to take many relevant classes—including some focused on AI and aligned with current market trends.
  • The class schedule is manageable; it usually depends on the semester, but at most, I had two classes per day.
  • The average class size is fairly balanced. There are a good number of Indian students, but I also had classes with American students and people from other countries as well.

Fees

  • Talking about the breakdown of the fee structure is a bit wonky, but I will try explaining it here.
  • First is the Tuition GR International fees for about $14,445
  • Program Tui GR Polytechnic School for $450
  • Student Health insurance $1045
  • International student fee: $200
  • Student Initiated fees $373
  • Graduate academic support fee: $140
  • Total $16653
  • Regarding the rent, I live off campus, paying $350-400$ for rent and utilities altogether.

  • The MS CS course at ASU is fairly challenging but manageable, with a good mix of theory and hands-on work. I liked the flexibility in choosing courses and the strong research focus, though some popular classes do get crowded.
  • Usually, I had 1–2 classes a day, mostly between 9 AM and 5 PM. Most classes had around 100–200 students, and there were plenty of Indian students around, which felt nice and familiar.

Fees

  • It cost me around $69000, which included a tuition fee of about $37000 and the rest of it was living expenses. Fees are charged for each credit and we need to pay them each semester.
  • My monthly expenses used to be: rent - $500, food - $250, miscelleanous - $1000 to $2000. The actual monthly expenses would largely depend on the individual's personal choices as well.
