Dislikes:

  • Lack of healthcare access (mental health especially) .
  • Food is mediocre .
  • A few bad professors make a big impact depending on luck .
  • Events sometimes full up fast, making it difficult to participate in certain things .

Campus Life

There are hundreds of clubs available, and the campus is extremely vibrant. There is so much to do - absolutely anything you can imagine can be done. Any sport, any club, any instrument, any event can be found here. The buildings are modern, beautiful, and functional.

For first-year students, living on campus is required. This costs about 8,000 USD and is factored into the amount mentioned earlier. After that, you have the option of on or off-campus apartments -prices for this range from 5,000 - 15,000 USD/ year, and the amenities vary widely based on cost.

Campus Life

Facilities are excellent. I haven't had the time to participate in any extra curricular activities. Library is being renovated so it has been temporarily shifted to a different place.

I live in a sharing apartment, that is 2 bedroom 4 people. Rent is 370 , utilities 150 and food around 150 a month.

Average. Not much around. Rochester is pretty quite place and shutdown quickly.

You need to rent apartments. No hostel facility like in India. It's upto you whether you want to rent single room or shared apartment.

I have a housing off-campus as it's cheaper one as compared to on campus, always prefer to stay near to the campus for the first semester since it helps to network a lot, but the rent is high for this.

RIT is ambitious towards technical grounds as well as all other streams, it has a wide range of students coming from different backgrounds and work together on innovation and building.
