- Extremely remote location makes it hard for anyone to travel to nearest big cities

Placement
- Mostly 50 to 60 per cent of the students receive a TA or RA position.
- Pay range is around 12 to 18 dollars an hour and a maximum of 20 hours a week for a full-time enrolled student
- It's quite easy to secure an on-campus job
- Students can work as an RA, TA, in dining services, as a proctor, or as a bartender at events; organise events; or work as a computer technician.
- Students can apply on the spot and then receive links to apply online.
- Accommodation is simpler compared to other universities.
- Everyone gets to apply for on-campus housing and 95 per cent of students will receive housing on campus.
- Student housing is 0.5 miles from the campus. Monthly rent is around 400 per student in a 2br apartment.
- Off-campus housing is easier to find as well since not many students live around and it's a small university town.

A lot of companies visit Michigan Tech and career fairs are organized from time to time to contact the recruiters and increase the opportunity to get a job. The department helps you in building a perfect resume and guides you depending on your skills and talents to connect with the right jobs. Undergraduates and graduates from Tech have gotten jobs in Microsoft, Amazon, Tesla, Google, etc.
The admission procedure was straightforward and there is no application fee to apply for any course. It is one of the top universities in Michigan, US. There are a lot of coursework and research options available. Moreover, it will not cost you as much as other State universities and also a great number of funding and scholarships are provided for national and international students.
Placement
We have good companies that are Michigan based and provide good opportunities and salaries. The salary depends on the employer and how much he wants us in his company. The only tip I give is to work hard.
