  • I found housing through one of the senior friends who was staying close to the university, and he offered me a place. Otherwise, students can look for options on apartments.com. Our 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit was $2300 a month shared amongst six members.

  • The community had many facilities, including a gym and a swimming pool. This is a very popular locality amongst Indian students due to its proximity to the university campus; it takes just about a 10-minute walk or 2-3 minutes by bus. The frequency of the buses is pretty good, too.

  • Their challenges were finding coordination among roommates and understanding the lease. For future students, I would say to start early, operate through trusted platforms, and take advice from seniors.

  • The process of searching for accommodation can be done by getting added to a WhatsApp group where there will be postings of apartments available. The challenges faced are getting into the right group and selecting an apartment through virtual photos.
  • There can be no recommendations useful if in off-campus accommodations. For on-campus, there is a separate website for that but the cost is a little bit high.

  • As I am staying off campus, I have joined a WhatsApp group that posts accommodation availability. There is a web page for college accommodation, which is usually costly. Challenges faced are finding the correct accommodation by only seeing the pictures of the apartment. There are no recommendations for off-campus accommodation.

On-campus accomodation was opted by me and it costs around 3000$ per month which includes all the needs and utilities. Staying off-campus can get less cost when compared with on campus living cost and regarding food and related expenses food was provided in accomodation and regarding transports there are mason shuttels which are free for the students as they can travel in that by showing id cards.

One of the reason for choosing this university is academic reputation and location and diversity of communication and high research opportunities, great internships available and had huge career services, Research for study plan and consultancy and networking.

I live off campus and so accommodation facilities abroad do not include for me.

I chose this university because it was close to my home end it was near DC so there are a lot of job opportunities for computer science at the university. I overall experienced at my colleges very fun, although I just go to my classes and do not spend too much time at the University itself, it is a very fun experience overall.

I live off-campus in a town house and the rent is affordable. Average rounds up to 2500-3000$ per house which is shared by 4-5 people.

Mason provided me opportunity for personal growth, self-discovery, and skill development. I have learnt a lot about different cultures and also about myself.

I believe most accommodations fall between $7-$12k, depending on which housing style you choose. Housing is guaranteed for freshmen but I’ve been able to get housing for all four years.

I was offered a position to study abroad as a Freshman! Specifically, my school had a new special program for Freshmen to choose a place to go abroad instead of waiting until typically Junior year. I was able to study abroad at George Mason’s second campus in South Korea.

There are different types of housing available on campus. There are traditional dorms. Just a room shared by 2/3/4 people or even a single dorm. These have no kitchens and is just a single room. Bathroom shared by everyone on the floor. We also have an apartment styled. With a kitchen a living room and different bedrooms

I chose it because they have the best professors for my major. Also, the FBI and CIA headquarters are close by and Offer a lot of internships as well as well known guest speakers in the field that come to my college.

I really liked the campus and the communication program they had to offer. I also got into the honours college and they offer different courses for honours students so that really appealed to me as well.
