Goods about GMC haldwani

Likes

Campus life is very good, there is very healthy environment in the college campus
Sports facilities are considerably good, administration is supportive in sports related activities
There is nearly 100 percent placement after completing mbbs ,

Dislikes

Quality of food is not good in hostel mess, this must be improved
Cleanliness is not maintained in the hostels

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course provides diverse opportunity, provide high level of skills, and good interaction with patients This course prepares us for the worst case scenario and teaches us to deal with emergency conditions The teaching method should be changed to a completely practical approach rather than focusing on bookish language

Cricket, basketball, volleyball and good faculty
Very interactive teachers and faculty very good interaction
Good teaching methods specially clinical trials

Dislikes

Mbbs depressing long duration course is very hectic
Construction is very irritating thing in college
Hectic schedule is too frustrating in our college

The course is fully based on competency which is relevant, as nowadays we have to study ourselves but the curriculum makes it so easy to understand. Teachers make the subjects easy to understand via various competencies

Ambience around college and staff competency
Environment and weather in city , beautiful seasons
Clinical exposure in hospital , operation theatres and opd and wards load

Dislikes

A lot of construction happening with poorly formed routes
Market connectivity is poor along with poor transportability
Gymnasium is not formed as well as playground is also absent

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is the topmost course to be pursuade in medical field. It is the best carrier option not just financially but also for social purpose. Course should be studied in hindi as well curriculum is okay but teaching methods should be imporvised. Only ppt reciting is of no use, All good about exams

The hostel facilities are great and rooms are well furnished
Most of the sports equipments are available
Multiple bathrooms are provided and water is available 24/7

Dislikes

Bathrooms are not regularly cleaned and not maintained
Food provided in the hostel mess is of terrible standard
Lack of faculty makes it difficult to fully understand several subjects

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite complex and convoluted. Most of the subjects are inter related to each other so horizontal level of studying is suggested to cover most of the topics. However the sheer size of the course is huge so regular study sessions with frequent breaks is the way to go.

Likes

Cricket,reading about history and the college campus experience is really good

Dislikes

The quiet depressing and a sedantry life of college sometimes make me disklike it but not the whole carrier

Since it is a professional course so the relevance of theory and practice is greatly correlated with each other, Since we have the clinical exposure so you can imagine the relevance this course gets in terms of experience and learning.

Medical a challenging but a Proud Course

Cricket, writing poetry, the experience of visiting hospital is amazing

Dislikes

Less interaction amongst student, Library timing is very less

Course Curriculum Overview:

So afterall it's MBBS a novel profession so I am no one to rate it according to me. The patient says it all when comes to its health, saving life is a challenging task and doctors perform it really well so in terms of relevance i would say this is the course which is completely relevant to its subjects.

Opportunity for providing me to share my college things

The campus atmosphere is good according to my view. Because there is not that much pollution or my college providing peace and such a beautiful environment for studying. And they were providing us library for studies especially helpful for studies a
They were also providing play grounds especially it is helpful for students who are in athletic background. The college is providing various equipments also. There is an yoga department which helps everyone to participate in yoga courses which helps
Our mind free and reduce our tensions and stress also. I like this college very much. There were many students especially from different backgrounds and different culture. I mean there were students from different states because this is a central uni

Dislikes

I didnt like some of the students here. Because basically iam from Kerala and iam a mallu . Iam comfortable with my own mother tongue. Here i can use only english or hindi either because people didn't understand my language because of iam a malayali
Some of their approach towards mallus are very different like we were came as trespassers here. And i cant say that everyone there are many who are good in their behaviour but some of their approach towards mallu students are not good in my personal
And here they were not at all providing hostels. In MBA itself there were 80 students in a class but they were providing hostels for only 3 or 4 students both from male and female and they were not at all considering the students who came from along

Placement Experience:

Final semester only students are eligible for the placements. But I can tell that not every department providing placements. I think especially masters degree providing placements. Only 8 percentage of students getting placements here. My plans after getting degree here is applying for jobs to apply my skills and talents

Govt Doon Medical College- Best Govt Medical College of Uttarakhand

Likes

Discipline- the teachers are disciplined and reach for the lecture on time even the HOD'S of each department.
Location- the college is in a great city (Dehradun) which makes it more special as along with studies students can enjoy city life too.
Campus life - the extra curricular activities make the college more special and act like stress bursters.

Dislikes

Distance between college and hospital - the college and hospital are located far away near about 3-4km that includes travelling time in the daily hectic schedule.

Placement Experience:

The college placement is in the doon hospital in which u have to complete ur internship and can continue further in the same hospital after completing the internship or can join any other hospital which offers more salary. There's no unemployment in the MBBS course which makes it more secure as u can practice in any hospital of ur choice there's a lack of doctors in every hospital or u can even opening ur own clinic/hospital if u r capable. I am too looking forward to working on my own after completing my MBBS.
