Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite complex and convoluted. Most of the subjects are inter related to each other so horizontal level of studying is suggested to cover most of the topics. However the sheer size of the course is huge so regular study sessions with frequent breaks is the way to go.
Internships Opportunities
Internship for students after their 4th year in college is guaranteed and a fixed amount of stipend is provided to the students. Mostly students spend their time in hospital learning everything from administering i/v to handling emergency medical situations.
Fees and Financial Aid
Varying from 12000 to upto 45000 in states like Karnataka, it cannot really be considered sufficient in anyway. The subpar scholarship provided to students belonging to SC ST or PWD sections is quite benefical though
Campus Life
There is close to no campus life at all, vastly due to the lack of clubs or any other social groups. There is no cafeteria for students to take an evening snack at and there are barely any equiments available in the so called college gymnasium
Admission
The admission process mostly went as expected and took a decent amount of time. After all the document verifications and several lenthy form fillings, students are sent to their associated government hospital for a thorough health checkup. After this they are introduced to their hostel and their room is allocated accordingly
Faculty
The Head of Department (HOD) of most subjects are highly qualified in their field and thier lectures are interactive with consistent cross questioning making there lectures highly productive. However the APs and JRs are not upto the mark and lack knowledge on several aspects.
Interview Experience
No group discussion or interview was required for the admission since it was only based on the NEET UG score. However students elected for the post of CR had to go through several professor's approval and a voting session involving all the students of their respective batches
Other Applied Colleges
Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University - [HNBUMU] | Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery [MBBS]
