Affordable college for students with low fees

Likes

Overall campus was pretty big, all the departments have been divided
Decent faculty members, extra curricular activities apart from studies and sports events organised
Provides internship and placement opportunities

Attendance always low for maximum students
Spoiled environment..students are more interested in other activities apart from studies

Aspects like web development, app and sofware development influenced me to chose this course as we learn about the hardware, software, cyber security,.cloud computing throughout the course, so it is a great choice for someone eager to work in the IT sector.Though we have to prepare separately by ourselves for real world applications by testing programming skills and making projects. Teaching methods can be improved if teachers used digital screens instead of explaining in white boards for better understanding Two exams are held at the end of semester - internal exam for 20 marks 1 hour is given and external exam of 75 marks 2.5 hours given...surprise test are also held in classes.... Difficulty of these exams are mid according to me as i have seen other colleges question paper which are far more difficult

Tuition fee was not increased between our course but it was increased after the year I enrolled in university so our juniors had more fees than us The complete cost was around 1.8 lakhs along with all charges Scholarship for low income families, member in the indian army were given scholarships Campus placement was okish, companies came providing 6 months employment for 1-3 lakh packages for jobs like app agents, software test engineer, full stack developer etc

Sports events are organised around the month of april and may and festivals like rangoli are also held in campus Books can be borrowed from the library on a reading basis or for 14 days basis, which we must return before 14 days to avoid late fees Various sports like hockey, cricket, volleyball, football are organised for the sports week Social aspects were poor, no student ran any social club or student portals. Students didnt socialize much, they like being in their own

There are around 40 faculty members in each department. some of them are highly qualified and i liked their teaching however some were just to dictate topics in class without properly explaining. But the teachers in SGRRU are highly approachable and i can say very friendly towards their students

No entrance exam needed. Admission based on class 12 result. Maths in class 12 is recommended but not compulsory for admission. Students from any stream can avail this course. Chose this college as I heard it was semi-government but later I came to know that it was turned into a private college. Thought of continuing with it was that they have been providing agriculture degree for last 15 years so they must be experienced as the other other agriculture college in Dehradun were recently opened

I chose this college because it is the only college in area with good opportunity. The fees is relatively low as compared to other. It can be the reason of choosing this college for tight budget. It is close to home so better transportation . The admission is quite simple . No exams , only 12 pass and submit the admission fees.

I choose SGRRU Dehradun rather than other colleges because it is only private college in Uttarakhand which accredited by ICAR. I also choose some other colleges but fee is too high in other colleges with less facilities and this college fee is less and have more practices.

The one of the best college of Dehradun 'SGRR PG College Dehradun'.

Likes

The college is nearby roadside and shops are easily available nearby .
The library of college is very good for study. It also provides daily newspapers to read. The library has very peaceful environment which is helpful for study.
The neatness and cleanliness of the college is very good.

Dislikes

In summer season there should be added more water purifier in college campus.
The parking area of the college should be increased.

Admission:

I also applied for DBS College Dehradun. But later I confirmed SGRR PG College Dehradun. As I found good reviews of this college more than DBS and this was nearly 3 Km away from my home. No I was also selected for DBS College Dehradun but it was very far from my home. The admission process was very easy during 2021 when I got admission in this college. The admission procedure go through the merit list based on the marks of 12th class. The minimum cut-off for all categories were slightly different. For UR and OBC it was approx 75% for SC/ ST it was approx 72-75%. Qualified candidates can easily get admission But now the admission procedure go through and entrance exam which is conducted by NTA. Candidates who qualify the exam and clear the minimum cut-off can get admission.

SGRRU B.P.T is offered as 4 Years full-time program. The minimum eligibility criteria for B.P.T are 10+2 with 50%. The total fees for SGRRU B.P.T in 2025 are INR 5.58 Lakhs for the complete course duration.
