The BA (Hons.) in English at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University (CSMU), Panvel, Navi Mumbai is a full-time, campus-based undergraduate programme offered under the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Communication. • The Registration Fee of Rs. 15,000 is non-refundable and is included in the Year 1 total annual fee of Rs. 50,000.
• Mess/food charges are NOT included in the hostel fee and are charged separately at actuals.
• Electricity consumption beyond a fixed monthly limit will be charged at actual rates.
• Application fee: Rs. 1,500 (non-refundable).
• Examination fee: Rs. 1,000 per exam.
• Readmission fee (from 2nd year onwards): Rs. 1,500 per year.
• Fee Refund on Withdrawal: 100% refund (less Rs. 1,000 processing charge) if withdrawal notice is given 15 or more days before the last date of admission; 90% if less than 15 days before last date; 80% if within 15 days after last date; 50% if more than 15 but less than 30 days after last date; 0% if more than 30 days after last date or after commencement of academic session.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Class 12) examination from a recognised board in any stream.
• A minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination is generally required (relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per university norms).
• Admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination or CUET-UG 2026 normalised score.

Admission Process

• Register and fill the online application form at admissions.csmu.ac.in and pay the application fee of Rs. 1,500.
• If appeared in CUET-UG 2026, select YES for CUET participation in the form, enter the CUET-UG application number, and enter the Total Normalised Score in the Score/Percentile field.
• University prepares a merit list / CUET-based admission list and shortlisted candidates are notified via email.
• Shortlisted candidates complete document verification (marksheets, TC/Migration certificate, etc.) and submit originals to the university.
• Pay at least 50% of the annual fee at the time of admission confirmation to secure the seat.
• Log in to the CAMU ERP portal to access timetable, course material, and communications.

CSMU offers the Bharatratna Dr. Bhimrao (Babasaheb) Ambedkar Scholarship and Financial Assistance Schemes for AY 2026-27. All scholarships are applicable on the programme fee (tuition + other fees, excluding registration and add-on course fees).

Scholarship Schemes

• Scholarships are disbursed at the end of the academic year as a concession on the fee payable, after verification of documents and minimum 75% attendance.
• Only one scholarship scheme can be availed at a time; schemes cannot be combined.
• Students must be under 22 years of age (UG) and must not have any gap years between qualifying exam and CSMU admission to be eligible.
• As per Government of Maharashtra rules, 10% of economically weak students among total admitted students shall receive a 50% waiver on tuition fee only.
• Sports scholarships are renewed annually on submission of original participation proof.
• Scholarships do not cover add-on or industry-partner courses.
• Application for scholarships must be submitted on the prescribed form with documentary proof by the date announced by the university each year.
