Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University (CSMU), Navi Mumbai offers the following categories of scholarships & financial assistance schemes to deserving students with the objective of encouraging meritorious students and academic excellence. Students can continue to avail these scholarships in their higher semesters by maintaining the requisite result.
1) Course Fee Waiver to Meritorious Students
This scholarship is awarded to students based on their merit in the qualifying exam for admission to various degree courses of the university.
- 75% course fee waiver is allowed to boys with 90.01% & higher marks at the qualifying examination.
- For those with 85.01% to 90% marks 50% course fee waiver is allowed.
- Boys with 80.01% to 85% marks are given 20% course fee waiver.
- For girls, 75% course fee waiver is allowed for those with 85.01% & above marks in qualifying examination, 50% for those with 80.01% to 85% and 20% for those with 75.01% to 80%.
- Above fee waiver is allowed at the time of admission and continues for the first year. For retention of the fee waiver in the subsequent years, a student has to maintain a CGPA of 9.75 for 75% course fee waiver. 9.25 For 50% course fee waiver and 8.75 for 20% course fee waiver.
2) Fee Concession to University Employees and their Wards
50% concession in course fees is allowed to self/ spouse/ son/ daughter of University Employees. Extended blood relations of University employees, defined as brother/ sister of University employee, son or daughter of brother/sister of University Employee arc allowed 15% course fee waiver.
Note: This fee concession is throughout the course till the employee continues to work in the University.
3) Course Fee Waiver for the Wards of Freedom Fighters and Defense Personnel
25% concession in course fees is allowed to Son/ Daughter or Grandson/ Grand daughter of Freedom Fighters, Son/ Daughter of Armed Forces/ Para-Military Forces/Police Force Personnel.
Note: This fee concession continues throughout the course.
4) Concession for Children from Minority and Marwari or Jain Communities
20% course fee waiver is allowed to children from Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Parsi and Buddhist.

5) Fee Concession to Differently abled Children
20% concession in course fee is allowed to differently abled children with 40% or higher impairment.
Note: This fee concession continues throughout the course.
6)Fee Concession to Brother/ Sister of an Existing Student of CSMU
25% course fee waiver is allowed to Brother/ Sister/ Husband/ Wife of existing students of CSMU for the first year. The concession will continue till both the students are studying in the University. Concession will be considered on lower course fee.
7) Scholarship for M.Sc./ M.Tech. Students
Depending on the requirements of University departments/ schools, some of the M.Tech.and M.Sc. students may be awarded teaching assistantship of INR 5,000 and INR 3,000 per month respectively.
8) Scholarships for Diploma Engineering Students whi wish to join B.Tech
For Diploma Engineering Students who wish to join B.Tech (Lateral Entry), 40% concession in course fee is allowed for 1st year (admission in 2nd year) and 30% in 3rd year and 4th year.
9) Fee Concession to CSMU Students Joining Next Higher Degree in the University
A student of CSMU on completion of one degree, getting admitted to next degree is allowed 25% course fee concession with a maximum of INR 30,000. For diploma engineering students, who wish to join B.Tech, (Lateral entry), 40% concession in course fee is allowed for 1st year (admission in 2nd year) and 25% in 3rd year & 4th year.
