What are the facilities provided by WUD?

WUD has created physical and academic infrastructure like labs, libraries and studios, workshops, and computer labs (including the Apple Mac platform). The university also provides hostels, canteens, sports zones, medical facilities including doctors, internet access, and transport facilities. Transportation is provided in the form of regular pick-up and drop-off from the WUD Campus to the nearest Metro Station.On-campus hostels are provided for girls and off-campus hostels are provided for boys. Apart from air-conditioned rooms with attached bathrooms, the university offers common rooms, sports facilities, and 24-hour security. Hostels are wifi enabled. A separate laundry service is also provided. The hostel fee is 1,75,000 per annum including mess charges for both girls and boys.A wide range of indoor and outdoor sports are organized at WUD. There are facilities for Soccer, Cricket, Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess and Carrom. A Gymnasium is available with well-equipped free weights, cardio, stretching, and resistance training equipment. WUD has a 1000-capacity open-air theatre and several smaller venues to host and hold cultural performances.

How are the placements atWUD?

WUD offers placement and internship opportunities to students on a choice-based model.Since 2021, more than 200corporate houses have collaborated with WUD andmore than 90% of students have found career opportunities. As per the latest placement statistics, the highest packagewas INR 13.5 LPA and the average packagewas INR 5.3 LPA. In addition, the highest stipend has been INR 35k per month and the average stipend has been 15.5k per month. Top recruiters at the WUD Placement include Axiom India, Meraki, Squareboat, Think Design, CII, Amazon, AB InBev, Incedo, Satya Paul, Max, Reliance, Ogilvy, and Crimsoune Club among others.Further, students have to undertake a graduation project in the last semester of their academic degree. The project is foraround 4 months starting in January of each year. The projecthas a faculty mentor and an industry mentor who guide the students through the project. Students also receive Pre-Placement Offers to join the companies full-time through the industry interaction.

What are the scholarships offered by WUD?

WUD offers merit-based scholarships of up to 50% and special scholarships of up to 20% on academic fees of all the UG and PG courses. Special scholarships are available for wards of Defense Personnel, wards of serving teachers, and single-parentchildren.In addition, other special scholarships include Daughter's Privilege and sports & performing arts scholarships for students with a national representation.

What are the cultural and social activities organized at WUD?

WUD has created a variety of clubs such as the Film Club, Reading Club, Sports Club, Performing Arts Club, etc. The university also organizes literary, cultural, and social events such as sports meet, annual fest, etc. WUD annual fest, CULT, attracts participation from various colleges in Delhi NCR, Haryana, UP, Himachal Pradesh etc. The university teams also participate in fests of other colleges and independent competitions. WUD is also a hub of intellectual activities. Likes

The environment around the whole campus.
Here faculty is friendly and you can always go to them for help.

Dislikes

Few faculty are rude so you have to deal with it.
According to me Canteen food is bit expensive.

After 6rd semester students can apply for placement. But students can do internship and other from 1st year itself if they want to earn it's upto them. 70% students get placement from here. Average package is approx 4lcs.

The facilities like sports and gym is great there basketball and volleyball courts cricket pitch football ground etc which is great. The faculty is highly specialised in there skill and stream and are very helpful
The library along with the reading room is great and has a huge variety of books on all topics . This is very helpful towards our courses.
The campus has a very good vibe and the different parts of the camping are named after famous personalities . It has a great ambiance

Dislikes

The size of the campus could be more as it seems to be a small campus as compared to other institutes
There is only one canteen in the campus which lacks variety and food chains
The location of the campus could be more near to the city

Placement Experience:

The placements in college are quite successful as I heard it from my seniors and if I didn't get a placement then I'll apply for a Masters degree in Interior design and will the get a job or a studio of my own

Diverse program offerings, and beautiful and modern infrastructure
Active sports culture ( Wud emphasis sport and organization tournament)

College doesn't have enough dustbins (you have to carry garbage until you find dustbin)
Network problem ( Inside campus the network doesn't work)
Canteen prices( canteen prices are touching sky)

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. NEROLAC , TESA and many more companies have visited . Almost everyone got the placement. Highest package 8lakh and average of 5 lakh. 100% placement.. Firms opening.

Likes

Things that i liked about my college is its faculty for my course interior design
Things that i liked about this college is its course INTERIOR Design which is most worthy course in this college
I also liked the affordability of trip they took us on nov which was nice

Dislikes

Things that i disliked about this college is that its infrastructure is kinda old style needs to improve
I didn't like that there is no independence for day scholar even ,even as a day scholar i have to take gate pass and make sign from dean and class teacher to go out of college
If you are sports person like me I don't recommend you to join this college

As for course i chose is IAD , 1 st year is just foundation year so did not taught much about interior design but they make sure to strong your basics and maintain a flow for studies, exam are not difficult it is moderate level but in jury you have to focus on your communication skills

Dislikes

Faculties don't have much experience in design in animation and game design
Overpriced in every this they charge a lot on every step
We have to pay around 1 lac for a sem is we want to give re exam

Contains all fields of design, helping with inter school collaboration and a professional working environment.
A diverse population with a 3:1 girls to boys ratio.
Educated faculty often pass outs of esteemed colleges like NID/FTII

Dislikes

Isolated location and far away from major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, etc.
Overly strict gate pass system, making it difficult to leave campus.
Repetitive food in the hostel mess and vegetarian only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of film and video touches upon all the basic skills one needs to start working in the industry. The course curriculum though well structured is often loosely followed by the faculty, who teach using their personal experiences rather than a specific book. The course could include a few more practical activities like studio visits or short film competitions. The examination timings seem apt, on how they do not interfere with the semester and take place only after the completion of all the modules.

For Animation and game design, up to date Computer systems and systems in general.
I love basketball, there is basketball coaching available from a good coach and the court is pretty good too.
great faculties for animation and game design.

Dislikes

Hostel, the rooms and infrastructure provided is quite good, but the nature of its adminstration is very restrictive. Boarding school type feeling.
Administration is very inconsistent and inefficient, they'll make you run around, go to this person that person, like a government banking office.
food is subpar. While the variety is good, there is not one dish in the mess that is actually good, it's all dull. Also no non veg.

Placement Experience:

One is eligible for Campus placements from 7th semester. For Animation and Game design. Companies such as but not limited to, Rockstar India, Tantalum Academy, 5th dimension etc. Highest package offered that I know of (not limited to Agd) is 14 LPA. Almost all students get placed

All about my college life

Likes

Faculty members are nice seniors to the very helpful in nature and help us in everything like assignments there are 14 different clubs which we can join
The miss food is also okay and cafeteria is like quite good
Every classrooms contain AC in the campus is also quite nice

Dislikes

Sometimes mess food sometime it's a bit spicy or there is no salt in the food or its just tasteless but otherwise it's nice
We have to walk a lot to recharge classes and in rainy season it's like a complete mess
Some teachers are like really strict but some are really nice to

I love my University

Likes

Atmosphere is really amazing, neat and beautiful.
Faculty is so trained and expert in their respective fields
Fees is quite affordable as compared to any other design college

Dislikes

Canteen area is too small when compared to number of students
Sometimes there are leakages in the ceilings on rainy days
Ratio of girls to boys in campus-Girls:Boys::70:30

From 3rd semester students are eligible for internships and placements. Nykaa, Amazon, flipkart, raymond, puma, etc Highest is 2500000 and average is 600000 Percentage is 93% My plans include that I'll be doing job for a year and then open up my own start up
