World University of Design

We are taught a wide range of softwares, concepts and theories concerning Game design and the industry. There is a decorum maintained to simulate office deadlines and timings, with deliverables for each module (subject).

Various companies offer internships to students in World University of design but for Animation and Game design specifically. The names that come off the top of my head are tantalum academy, SMAPit, etc.

One is eligible for Campus placements from 7th semester. For Animation and Game design. Companies such as but not limited to, Rockstar India, Tantalum Academy, 5th dimension etc. Highest package offered that I know of (not limited to Agd) is 14 LPA. Almost all students get placed

The animation and game design course in World university of design costs 3.5 lakh per annum (used to be 2.5 when i joined back in 2021). Scholarship reduces annual fees significant with 3 distinct categories or brackets available according to eligibility bracket A) covers 50% bracket B) covers 35% and bracket C) 20%. Scholarships are merit based.

There are various events held throughout the year, but the main big university event is known as CULT, where well known artists are invited for performances, it is essentially an Intercollege competition spanning 2-3 days, with various categories spanning from singing to basketball. There is an emphasis on design too.

I simply chose this Uni because, at the time, it was the only University that offered Game design courses at an affordable fees by far compared to any other university in India. Also when i looked up the faculties and student testimonies and their work, the course seemed legit.

The faculty to student ratio is subjective to concerning department and course. Certain courses are struggling with no to minimal faculties. Animation and game design has probably the better faculties in our Uni, well versed with the industry and it's requirements. There are Two exams in a year (per sem) with each exam holding 30 credits. So 60 credits per year.

Please don't consider this University if you intend to maintain a nightlife, this is a very serious University, where the main campus gates will be closed after 8pm you can't leave campus after 7pm, there are two requirements to be met before one is allowed to leave the hostel, i.e gate pass signed by warden and an email to your parents (without the latter the pass won't be signed)!! oh and also you have produce your student ID everytime you leave the gate, and the gate pass has to be issued between 9-10 am / 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
