Diamond Harbour Women’s University (DHMU) has started its first academic session in July 2014. It offers M.A, M.Com and M.Sc programs in Arts, Science and Humanities departments.

Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline can apply for the 2-year PG courses.
The candidates can apply online for M.A, M.Sc. and M.Com. programs by visiting the official website of the university.
Admissions to the PG courses are granted on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination.
The eligibility criteria for M.Phil and Ph.D. is a pass in Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.
The selection in M.Phil. is done on the basis of an written test conducted by the university along with viva voce.
For Ph.D., the selection will be done on the basis of RET which is an entrance test for Ph.D. followed by an interview.

DHMU offers M.A, M.Com and M.A courses for the duration of 2-year in various specializations in the departments of Arts, Science and Humanities. Candidates must have done graduation in the related subject with at least 45% marks. The admission will based on the merit in the qualifying examination.

Key Note:

A candidate who is Honours graduate with Education Honours/ B.Ed. will stand eligible to apply for MA in Education.
A candidate who has done graduation (Honours) in Mathematics/ Physics/C.S./BCA will be eligible to apply for admission.
A 5% relaxation in total marks will be given for state level position holder & National level participants for sports -persons.

The university also offers M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees at the research level. The candidates wanting to apply should have done Masters with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale.The selection in M. Phil. will be done on the basis of written exam and viva voce. The selection in Ph.D. will be done on the basis of RET followed by interview.

Key Note:

Candidates who will apply for both M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses will have to apply through separate forms.
The course fees of M.Phil. would be INR 4000 and for Ph.D. it would be INR 5000.

Ph.D.

NET/SLET/SET/GATE or any other equivalent examination qualified candidates will be exempted from appearing in RET and can appear in the interview.
M.Phil. qualified candidates (in the concerned subject) under UGC regulation 2009 would be exempted from appearing for RET and will be considered for appearing before the interview board.
The candidates who have qualified NET/SLET/SET/GATE or any other equivalent examinations and qualified M.Phil. in the concerned subject under UGC regulation 2009 and who have qualified RET, will have to appear in the interview with the research proposal of 1000 words.
The interview will be of 50 marks.

M.Phil.

NET/SET/SLET examination qualified candidates will be exempted from appearing in the written examination.
The minimum qualifying marks for appearing in Viva voce is 25 marks which is 50% of the total marks (5% relaxation for SC, ST, OBC/differently abled).

For MA, M.Sc., M.Com.

Fill all the details required for submitting the form.
The registration fees of INR 300 can be paid in online as well as in offline mode.

ONLINE

Make the payment of the registration fees in the online mode.
Then take the print out of the online transaction acknowledgment receipt and keep it for future reference.

OFFLINE (through Bank Challan)

After the generation of challan, take a print out of this Bank Challan.
Now visit any IDBI bank branch 48 banking hours after taking a print out of the Challan.

The Bank Challan has three parts:
The bank will keep the bank copy, the candidate will get to keep the applicant’s copy and the third copy of this University has to be submitted to the university on the admission day if he/she will be called for the interview.
Now, after filling the form, save it and take a print out of the Bank Challan (if the payment is made offline), online payment acknowledgment receipt slip (if the payment is made online) and the complete form.

Note: The printed copy of the application form has to be kept by the applicant and has to be submitted at the time of admission only.

After completing Degree course I wanted to apply for PG course. DHWU offers all PG courses. But a student with 45 % and above are eligible to apply. Admission form is available online on the official website of the college. After application admission seats are selected on the basis of merit. After that, all required documents need to submit.

The up-and-comers can apply online for MA, MSc and MCom programs by visiting the official site of the college. Admissions to the PG courses are allowed based on marks got by the applicants in the passing assessment.
