What documents do the students need to carry for verification, if selected for the counseling at RGUKT?

Candidates are required to carry 3 sets of the following, along with original documents.RGUKT CET statement of marksRGUKT Rank CardHall Ticket - 10th ClassResidence certificateCaste certificate, if applicableEWS certificate, if applicable

Is education at RGUKT free of cost?

All candidates have to pay mandatory fees like Application fee, Registration fee & refundable caution fees. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category have a slightly lesser amount, but are no exception to paying the above mentioned fees. The student has to create a bank account into which the Govt. may transfer the scholarship amount, based on the category. The university then records this amount against the fees of the candidate. Any due amount remaining apart from deductions from the scholarship; must be paid by the candidate. RGUKT also assists the students with setting up the bank account initially.

How is the B.Tech course curriculum at RGUKT?

The integrated B.Tech program consists of 2 years Pre-University course (PUC) & 4 year Engineering course. The PUC consists of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Telugu and Information Technology. After the successful completion of PUC, the candidate can choose the desired BTech specialization out of the 7 available. The exams are conducted in Descriptive & Optional mode.

What are the criteria for Branch allocation at RGUKT?

The candidate is allotted the chosen branch based on merit, through an online process set up by RGUKT. Seats available for each branch are decided by the number of students passing the PUC course. The tentative numbers of seats under each branch are -Chemical Engineering - 60Civil Engineering 120 or 180Computer Science Engineering - 300Electronics and Communication Engineering - 300Mechanical Engineering - 180Metallurgical and Material Engineering - 60

What are the internship opportunities at RGUKT?

Students at RGUKT are encouraged to undertake Summer internships or Long-term internships, linked to the students educational goals. In-house or company internships can be done by the student for a minimum period of 6 weeks. Students can qualify for the internship offered after passing the tests & interviews. Some internships offer stipend too.

Does the campus of RGUKT have facilities for Physically challenged students?

Yes, about 3% of the total admission seats are reserved for the Physically challenged students. The campus infrastructure provides a comfortable atmosphere for such students as well. The institution buildings have facilities such as Lifts, ramps, walking aids, wheelchairs, aids for transportation from one building to another & specially designed toilets for physically handicapped students.

It is better nowadays that I choose it so, and getting this course is not that easy 2:6 is the ratio of faculty. They mostly did PhD in their respective colleges and are talented people we can give a rating of around 10 out of 7. Exams are held once in 6 months.

Our colllege environment i like the most.Because its clean and pleasant environment with green plants
Our room environment is also so good,Our roommates here are made our memories lovable
Our college infrastructure is so nice,faculty also so talented and very highly qualified at teaching

Dislikes

Our college rules and regulations upon the safety of girls, they are not even allowed to go outings with her friends.
The prices of daily usage items are higher when compared to outside
Students are not much allowed to go to outings even if it is an emergency.

Placement Experience:

In our college placements are eligible for students from engineering 3 year semester 2 onwards ,we are eligible for interns and placements.Some companies like ford,mahendra companies visited but big comapanies like tata motors,bmw not made offers for us.Our highest package is 1cr per annum and average package is 5lpa.Percentage of students getting placements is nearly 60-70 percentage but year by year its incresing sometimes decresing based on situation in industries need. My plan after getting degree is getting placed in college placements.

Firstly I liked mostly in the university is the infrastructure of the university.
Secondly I liked the teaching skills of the faculty.
And I also liked the environment in the university.

Dislikes

I dislikes the food taste in the dininghalls.
In summer here very hot and there is so many monkeys beside the university.

In Btech 3rd year second semester students are eligible for internships and campus placements.wipro, tcs, the renew power and some more companies visited our university and made nearly 150 offers .Highest package is 27 LPA and lowest package is 5 LPA.There is 65 % students getting placements.I want to start a business after my degree.

What is your review of IIIT Nuzvid?

The facilities are quite good but you will not find smart graduates here. The classrooms are good with 3-star accommodation. Everything including the notices is sent online.

A peculiar thing that you will notice is that everyone here uses Linux as an operating system including Fedora, Ubuntu, and Zorin.
There are no hard copy textbooks and it is a smart campus with no electrical lines seen anywhere.
In your first year, you will do well, plus there is no entrance exam to gain admission.
Infrastructure-wise, the college is good. It was mainly started to boost village students to gain exposure to higher education.
It also gives an option of 6 years of free education to prevent girls from getting married too early.
There are also free food and hostel facilities for underprivileged students. However, the main drawback is that it could shrink the mindset of many students by making them complacent.
You will also find really good faculty that will help you secure a job later. Most lecturers here are individuals who have done well in their subjects.
Underprivileged students also get the opportunity to access movies and the internet.

Overall, it is a good place but most students end up being intelligent and not street smart here.

RGUKT Nuzvid is the only institute which provides students with laptop and internet connectivity. The institute has a population of 6000 students and 300 faculty members. The institute also has the biggest library in Andhra Pradesh.
