My insights on Vit Chennai

Fees and Financial Aid:

Admission here is purely merit based. Depending on our performance in the VITEEE entrance exam each one of us will be allocated a rank and counseling date. I acquired a rank of 32986 and got phase 2 counselling. I wanted mechanical engineering with specialization in AI and ML and I got it in category 1 in Chennai campus. The fees structure per year for category 1 students are 195000. In the 1st year alone and extra amount of 3000 must be paid. Depending on the demand of the course and the phase of counselling the category depends. For example a person with the same rank as mine would get only cat 4 or 5 in cs departments. There are also 4 campuses Vellore,Chennai, Bhopal,AP. Vellore is the one usually in demand and people with rank less than 20000 i.e phase 1 counselling will get in with less fees. My friends currently studying data science got seat under category 5 with a rank of 25k in Chennai campus and EEE in category 2 and 3. They have splited all courses into 2- A and B. A- Civil, Fashion,EEE etc B-Mechanical,all CS departments,ECE,IT etc A- category 1- 173000 per year B-category 2- 195000 per year.

200000 is the fees and i dont know anything regarding scholarship.if you travel in bus the bus fee would be according to the distance regarding the rest the hostel fees differs from 2 rooms to 4 rooms to 6 room and the food fees my fees is around 4 lakhs for hostel and food

All the notes and given in PPTs and the teachers provide us the best notes which is sufficient for the exams.

Dislikes

There's exams every month and more than 5 Digital assignments and Lab practise assessment tests and these seems to be over pressuring.

The annual tuition fees is categorised into 5 categories. I got the Cat-1 fee of 198000 and for Cat-2 it will be around 298000, Cat-3 390000 and goes on. The admission is done through VITEEE entrance and the tuition fees is waived for toppers in the entrance exams. This is the only possible way into the college. I'm unaware about any scholarships.

Review of a first year student at VIT chennai

As a first year student I think the college is good but a bit crowded, teaching is average.There are so many events and clubs.Sports and gym facilities are nice.Free gym is not that good l.Hostel food is above average.For the first years fee will be 195000 and caution fee was 15000.There are no reservations.

The yearly fees for my course is 198000. The yearly hostel fee for six bed ac room is 120000. The yearly veg mess fee is 78800. The total fee would be approximately 160000 in this 4 year course of btech.

A lil preview into VITC

The feelings policy differs according to ur ranking,while in not sure of the regularity or the rate of the hikes, vit has 5 categories for each course, where the the 1st category is the cheapest for 2lakhs and increase with a 1Lakh as you move up the categories, hostel fees varies but I'm unsure about that too as I'm a dayscholar, bus fees is around 40k roughly

The more real time projects has to improve in the campus.

The fee structure in my campus was 2,50000 for year and the horse of peace was 90000. And examination fever 4000. And the supplementary fee was 10000. Bhej do call market entrance exam the fee allocation will be there there is no scholarship in knowledge. We have the best campus placements they will provide the best jobs we receive tiffins from other companies which are ready to provide as the job. And the don donation fee 10lakhs
