Likes

Admission Process was really fast and smooth
The clubs and committees bring a lot goid competitive opportunities to compete with other colleges like case competition, quizzes, debates etc
Professor are extremely experienced and have vast knowledge about the subjects

Dislikes

Language issue for those who are not localised or speak Telugu

Internships Opportunities:

As many as 170+ profile came on campus and all had different criteria for selection of students, we have multiple sessions on mock interview and GD , resume building sessions, mentoring sessions and all the support neded for getting placed

The clubs and committee in the IIM Visakhapatnam is very supportive and wholesome in nature
Overall the batch is pretty diversified as a result it's a 360 degree learning

Dislikes

The campus is far from the main city of Visakhapatnam
Sometimes the language barrier comes in picture outside the campus bcoz its in South India

Internships Opportunities:

Majorly internship were offered by top brands like ICICI,Asain Paints,DE Shaw,BEL, Goldman Sachs etc and stipend ranges from 1.5-2.5L for 2 months the project mainly involved in finance and S&M category

Academic excellence- IIM Visakhapatnam offers a comprehensive of challeneging curriculam that blends theoretical and practical knowledge.
Infrastructure and facilities Modern campus equipped with world class facilities, including smart rooms and advanced computing resources.
Clubs and Extracurricular activities- Campus is buzzing with various clubs, committies and student led initiative that provide various opportunties for students inlcuding inter college events like sangram

Long streching construction - campus is still in the concstruction

Internships Opportunities:

There are various domain companies like consulting, finance, banking, IT, manufacturing, services which offer internship opportunities with stipend range of 20k to 1.5k. Big 4 , MBB companies also visit campus which help students to built career at their best. Some of the companies also offer PPO.

Student discrepancies are handled on priority.

Dislikes

The vicinity at which the campus is, pretty desolated.
The food can become monotonous and tasteless.
The facility is still n construction so constant noise of construction

Internships Opportunities:

Collegeduniya. Stipend is roughly Rs.50000/- Courses give an opportunity and encourage active participation to go out in the field and develop an entrepreneural mindset in the people. The mission is to help budding entrepreneurs so extra care is ensured at the institute for this.

academic rigor and case based learning with very experienced faculty
Hostels are very nice with single occupancy for privacy and mess quality and variety of food is good
Campus life is great with amazing views from the campus and there is always something going on around the campus organized by various student run clubs and commitees

Dislikes

there is network issues around the campus for networks like airtel
location is very far from the main city and cabs and online ordering optios are very less
There are less companies offering dream packages

Internships Opportunities:

The are various internship opportunities provided by the placement cell, the average stipend 2 months is aroun 80k, the roles offered are in all domains like sales and marketing, consulting, finace Hr etc

Amazing infrastructure which is surrounded by scenic beauty.
Well equipped sporty facilities and gym.
Good course curriculum and classroom technology.

Dislikes

Hectic schedule of classes and other activities.
Clg is located in remote area hence city is far then the clg
Network connectivity is an issue, clg offers free wifi but still normal call network is not upto the mark

Internships Opportunities:

College have a record of 100% placements. Average stipend offered is 80,000. Mostly management roles into marketing, finance, sales, operations are offered. This year many finance roles were offered. Iimv is doing better than iim Kashipur as well.

MBA Marvels: A tale to tell

Campus beauty, facilities provided, accessibility to different facets like mess, academic block, sports complex, library and vibrance in the campus. Of course, the way it is enveloped with rolling mountains and waking up to sunrise so beautiful.
The student culture is diversified with people hailing from different backgrounds, cultures and just to interact and learn from them. It is an experience which adds to you only for tomorrow you have to work in an organisation with diverse wokrforce.
The professors are so knowledgeable and accessible for any sort of assistance. It feels easier to seek their guidance on anything like Future aspirations or any competition or event participated in or organised in the college.

Dislikes

sometimes it is difficult to converse with supporting staff and when we visit the city outside campus as Telugu is not the regional language of many of us here. It does hinder in some way.
Placements recorded are good however, the ambiguity in job role and description is a major problem which can hinder the start of our corporate journey and impact the path ahead.
Some of the courses are given much more importance over others like Management Information System to Management Accounting. Both have their relevance but MIS granted more sessions over Management accounting doesn't seem relevant to me.

Internships Opportunities:

Many companies have participated in the internship process like EY, KPMG, ICICI Lombard, Goldman Sachs, DE Shaw, Deloitte, Mc Donalds, etc. with stipends offered ranging from INR 50,000 to 1,00,000. Many more companies like ICICI, Yes Bank, Integrace, and V guard participated too offering lucrative stipends and JDs with projects across all domains. A lot of startups came on board too offering internships to students in roles like Market research, Digital Marketing, and Business Development Associate. The duration of internships is 8 weeks with a requirement of working on a project in the lines of the intern role and responsibilities specified. For instance, one of the projects offered to be worked on is "Market Research on Risk Management Practices in Various Industries." The Project would entail working on it under the supervisor assigned along with the submission of deliverables as expected by the company. The outcomes generated help in clarifying a lot of tasks with assistance from the core team and aid the result

I like the campus of IIM Visakhapatnam, it has one of the best hostels with state of the art infrastructure which makes our life very comfortable and gives us the environment so that we should freely focus on our curriculum and development.
The college scenic beauty, because our college is situated outside the city and the mountains are surrounding the campus from all the three sides and thus the campus presents a very beautiful and eye-catching image which lives in memory forever.
I like the food quality and taste provided in the mess. The food meet high quality standards and also has very delicious taste which makes our life happy and healthy and also keeps us away from diseases and boost immunity .

Dislikes

The campus is still under construction and still it lacks in some of the basic facilities, which will be provided to the future batches of the college, like properly constructed auditorium, library and different rooms for clubs and committees.
The student immersion program is still not operational so the students lacks in International exposure and thus the students of our college are not able to get the exposure of the foreign universities, which students of different IIM are having.

Internships Opportunities:

The summer internship program of IIM Visakhapatnam is good, and the placement committee puts a lot of effort into placing every student in their preferred domain and that too with a healthy stipend. The program provides students with an opportunity to get practical experience and insights into the corporate world preparing them for a life after campus. Similar to final placements, the summer internship program guarantees 100% placements to every student. According to the latest data of summer internships of the 2022-24 batch, a total of 134 companies visited the campus of which 96 were new recruiters, some of the prominent recruiters were Deloitte, EY, Macdonalds, Heritage, Adani, ICICI, and ICICI Lombard, etc which covers every domain of management, with a median stipend of Rs. 70000. The summer internship program commences in October and it also provides every student ample amount of opportunity to secure placements in there preferred domain.

The faculty and way of teaching.
The campus is green. It's in between hills which upscales its beauty.
The Placement is also great. Being a Baby IIM it's having good placement statistics.

Dislikes

The Campus is still under construction means we can't see everything in it .
There's no good market nearby. It's about 10km away from here

IIM Visakhapatnam is one of the new generation IIMs established in 2015. IIM Vizag is mentored by IIM Bangalore. IIM Visakhapatnam MBA fee is INR 17.82 Lakhs. IIM Vizag has been ranked 29th by NIRF 2023 in the Management Category. IIM Visakhapatnam MBA admission is based on CAT followed by a Personal Interview round. An overall CAT percentile of 82 and a sectional percentile of 70 is required for admission into IIM Vizag. The final selection is based on various other parameters like academic qualifications, work experience, and gender diversity. IIM Visakhapatnam placements 2023 have been concluded. IIM Visakhapatnam's highest package stood at INR 32.65 LPA and IIM Visakhapatnam's average package stood at INR 16.61 LPA.
