Eligibility on the basis of CAT score, 10, and 12, work experience and educational background are considered
The forms can be filled out if you have achieved the required CAT score and the details are shared over mail, it contains all the important timelines and information.
The communication is really fast and all the queries are solved.
The exams are well made and conducted having a good difficulty level. 12 exams across 2 year including mid and end-term examinations, frequent quizzes are also conducted

- The way faculty teaches here is exceptional and you'll definately love it
- The clubs and committee in the IIM Visakhapatnam is very supportive and wholesome in nature
- Overall the batch is pretty diversified as a result it's a 360 degree learning
Dislikes
- The campus is far from the main city of Visakhapatnam
- Sometimes the language barrier comes in picture outside the campus bcoz its in South India
Admission:
IIM Visakhapatnam accept student by the means of CAT examination particularly the cut off varies from category to category but on an average 97+ %le for a engineering student and 95+ from a non engg student could be considered a good score considering your academics are good also Major admission criteria is given in the basis of personal interview so prepare well

Admission:
Admission is through CAT exam. On the basis of percentile, Candidate will get shortlisted for the college. Now candidate has to show interest in the course by paying some fees on the college portal and then college will give interview call. After that interview will get conducted and on the performance and overall merit, final seat will be offered. Student has to book that seat within 3-4 workings day by making an initial payment of 50000 rs through college website.

- The vicinity at which the campus is, pretty desolated.
- The food can become monotonous and tasteless.
- The facility is still n construction so constant noise of construction
Admission:
The MBA course required the candidate to write the CAT exam which is conducted yearly in November. The result is declared in the first month of Januaryhe couse requires a cutoff marks of above 90 percentile for General category students for getting the shortlist at the institute. Once the cut off criteria has been cleared there are 2 processes in-line for the shortlisted candidate, GD and PR. These have been made convinient post COVID wherein the Institue provides the option for both Online as well as Offline mode, preferences are filled in by the candidate but the decision is with the Institute in question.
The process is pretty straight forward and well elicited in the follow up mails, received over the official mail id. There s generally a pre process talk and then the candidates are divided into grops for further process.
My personal experience was quite positive.

- academic rigor and case based learning with very experienced faculty
- Hostels are very nice with single occupancy for privacy and mess quality and variety of food is good
- Campus life is great with amazing views from the campus and there is always something going on around the campus organized by various student run clubs and commitees
Dislikes
- there is network issues around the campus for networks like airtel
- location is very far from the main city and cabs and online ordering optios are very less
- There are less companies offering dream packages
Admission:
The admission process was very smooth, the application is started from the CAT form after which there is a separate form which is to be filled once the CAT results are announced, the reservation policy is as per government norms, the exam is conducted once a year in November end mostly, the exam is moderate to difficult, things which can be improved is the process time which starts quite late even though the results are out quite early

- Hectic schedule of classes and other activities.
- Clg is located in remote area hence city is far then the clg
- Network connectivity is an issue, clg offers free wifi but still normal call network is not upto the mark

I gave CAT exam in 2022 then applied for IIM Visakhapatnam.
I had yo fill a different form to apply for it. Then they took interview online and i was given an admission.
Cutoff is mentioned on IIM Visakhapatnam's website. It changes every year.

- Campus beauty, facilities provided, accessibility to different facets like mess, academic block, sports complex, library and vibrance in the campus. Of course, the way it is enveloped with rolling mountains and waking up to sunrise so beautiful.
- The student culture is diversified with people hailing from different backgrounds, cultures and just to interact and learn from them. It is an experience which adds to you only for tomorrow you have to work in an organisation with diverse wokrforce.
- The professors are so knowledgeable and accessible for any sort of assistance. It feels easier to seek their guidance on anything like Future aspirations or any competition or event participated in or organised in the college.
Dislikes
- sometimes it is difficult to converse with supporting staff and when we visit the city outside campus as Telugu is not the regional language of many of us here. It does hinder in some way.
- Placements recorded are good however, the ambiguity in job role and description is a major problem which can hinder the start of our corporate journey and impact the path ahead.
- Some of the courses are given much more importance over others like Management Information System to Management Accounting. Both have their relevance but MIS granted more sessions over Management accounting doesn't seem relevant to me.
Admission:
I sat for other entrance exams as well besides writing the CAT. I applied for SNAP and IIFT later on once I had written CAT. Speaking on CAT, i.e. Common Admission Test requires any candidate to be either in their final year of graduation or is a passout with a minimum graduation score of 60% was the eligibility. Any interested candidate was required to access the application form curated for IIMs a separate portal for the same. On that particular portal, the registration was opened in the first week of Aug till Sep end. Then, it will generate a Register ID for you for further access.
In the CAT form, there were multiple sections asking for your personal/background details, Educational, Employment (if any), and preferred IIMs with a fee of Rs2500.
The CAT exam was conducted in November end with medium to high-level difficulty across all sections.
After CAT, I took SNAP (1hr exam with Rs 2250 excluding college ) which is easier but tests your speed and IIFT (3hrs) which was relatively lengthy.

- I like the campus of IIM Visakhapatnam, it has one of the best hostels with state of the art infrastructure which makes our life very comfortable and gives us the environment so that we should freely focus on our curriculum and development.
- The college scenic beauty, because our college is situated outside the city and the mountains are surrounding the campus from all the three sides and thus the campus presents a very beautiful and eye-catching image which lives in memory forever.
- I like the food quality and taste provided in the mess. The food meet high quality standards and also has very delicious taste which makes our life happy and healthy and also keeps us away from diseases and boost immunity .
Dislikes
- The campus is still under construction and still it lacks in some of the basic facilities, which will be provided to the future batches of the college, like properly constructed auditorium, library and different rooms for clubs and committees.
- The student immersion program is still not operational so the students lacks in International exposure and thus the students of our college are not able to get the exposure of the foreign universities, which students of different IIM are having.
Admission:
So, to get admission to the Indian Institute of Management, Visakhapatnam, you have first to clear the Common Admission Test exam, which is conducted once a year based on your percentile in the CAT exam, the shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a Personal Interview round and based on the cumulative scores, students are shortlisted for admission.
The CAT exam is a multiple choice exam with moderate difficulty level and it has three sections namely Quantitive aptitude, Verbal ability, reading comprehension and data interpretation, and logical reasoning. After clearing the set cutoff of IIMV, which is 80, 72,72,45,35 (only for shortlisting of Phase 1, the final cutoff will be high) for UR, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, calls for PI round will be sent to students in Jan to Feb and in March PI process will take place, and after that based on the cumulative scores candidates are selected in May to June. With IIMV, the application included a section on SOP to mention personal, educational details

- The faculty and way of teaching.
- The campus is green. It's in between hills which upscales its beauty.
- The Placement is also great. Being a Baby IIM it's having good placement statistics.
Dislikes
- The Campus is still under construction means we can't see everything in it .
- There's no good market nearby. It's about 10km away from here

Admissions are made based on the CAT Score. To get admission to IIM V one must write CAT Exam. Other than CAT his/her marks in 10th, 12, and graduation will also be considered for getting shortlisted for IIM V. After shortlisting, the institutes mail to eligible candidates for enrolling themselves for the admission process. After that again shortlisting is done to select students for Interviews.

The cutoff depends on many parameters and not just only on the CAT score. For example, candidates from non-engineering backgrounds can have a lower cutoff score but still secure a seat due to the diversity point.
Every year, the final selection phase gets completed tentatively by April and the candidates get emails regarding the information and further communication. After being selected, candidates have to reconfirm their choice within a fixed amount of time, and only then they are further communicated and invited for the following rounds.

IIM Visakhapatnam boasts a strong average placement of ?16.61 lakhs. However, IIM Visakhapatnam's highest recorded package for the 2023 placement season was ?32.65 lakhs.
Getting admission into IIM Vishakapatnam is not a cup of tea. You have to satisfy various parameters for getting admission. You have to secure an overall CAT percentile of 82 and sectional percentile of 72 for moving ahead. Then your work experience, prior academic records and gender diversity will be considered as well.
