Likes

The college also celebrates the festivals like holi and diwali.
The infrastructure is excellent, and indeed the employee is excellent.
The placement committee plays an important role during the placement drive as the committee is able to invite a good number of companies and they help us and guide us during the time of placement.

Dislikes

Regular violence breakout and internet suspension
Not having a permanent campus, rudeness of some faculty
Only feasible way to reach their through airways, no railway network in the state. So travelling there costs a lot

Honest review by college 1st year student.

Likes

Learning in peer group here is a good experience, peers are good, our cse faculties are also good.
Events happens regularly with good prizes, hackathons are also happening, and fests are also there.
Curriculum is very good, it gives us structured learning.girls isto boys ratio is decent, it's something around 1:4.

Dislikes

Hostel is 3 km away from college and buses are not regular so it increases our auto cost.
College is very strict, there is too much system of fine.

Placement Experience:

Placement here is decent, for cse average package in 2024 was 8.83 lpa and median was 8 lpa, placement percent was also good....overall it's a good choice in today's market.Placements are improving day by day.lab equipments are also good here.

Worst college in the name of iiit

Likes

I like the environment outside the college
I Liked the behaviour of one teacher
Liked the logo as of the name of Indian institute

Dislikes

I dislike Food of the hostel and infrastructure
I don't like the teaching style of teachers
I don't like facilities and fine of any little incident

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are not so tough but they are in just every 2-3 weeks so students can't enjoy any trip in the pressure of exams.... Lab exam will be done by pen drive mostly.... Very bad experience as compared to Indian institute

Likes

There is very good interaction with faculties .
There is very good natural environment .
There is good hostel facilities with good warden.

Dislikes

Boys Hostel in not without college campus.
Old campus don't have a playable (very small) playground.
Faculties is not sufficient to take class.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Tcs, infosys etc. Highest package is 5000000 Average package is 800000 Percentage of students getting placements is 80% every year. Placement

A review of Indian institute of information technology senapati Manipur

Likes

There are well equipped Labs(CS, EC,VLSI and Robotics lab)
Well qualified teachers. All teachers have P.Hd degrees in their respective field.
Beautiful and well managed campus and playground.

Dislikes

Frequency of exams. There are 3 assessment and a endsem exam with mid and end exams of labs.
The boys hostel is 1km away from campus.
Mess food is not good. It can be more better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we all know IIITs are running on new curriculum. We have lab practicals after completing theory in the classes.the teaching method is good according to me. The exams are too frequent. According to me there should be only one midsem exam instead of 3 assessment .And a end sem exam Midsem and endsem exams are enough according to me.

My Harsh but Real reviews

Likes

You find few teachers who encourage if you are really interested
You can really have a good social life until and unless you are introvert like me
No pollution, good environment, peaceful

Dislikes

Only senior professor are high knowledgeable and some are not as much as brainy especially the newbie teachers. And that senior professor will some times leave the campus for months to their research works
Course curriculum won't match much with your professional development, but this is the case with every college in india
It won't provide any good placements or internships like IITS and NIT's

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cse ongoing trend, that's why taken that. Curriculum syllabus +few more other topics =placement That means the level of your placement depends on your weightage of that few more topics For every semester there will be 3 assignment and one final exam. Few days before exam is enough preparation. The course curriculum should change completely for India not just for us and teaching methods are good for senior professor but not juniors

Faculties are excellent, they are very helpful and dedicated to their work.
We have a very good girl to boy ratio considering an engineering college. We have 1 girl on every 10 boys.
We usually have a lot of events throughout the year, making this institute enjoyable.

Dislikes

The only thing that I don't like about our college is the mess food , apart from that every thing is good.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies like NVDIA , Amazon,QualQuam , tcs , infosys, motive and many japanese firms come to our campus. Highest package offered this year was 40 LPA and lowest was 6 LPA. 76.4 percent was the placement percentage this year. Many students also go for masters in abroad.

IIIT worth it or not

Our campus is ragging free,teachers are supportive.teacher is to student ratio is quiet appreciatable as there are around 60 to 70 student in case of cse and 40 to 50 in case of ece course. Female teacher are very beautiful like actresses and models.
Behind our college there is very beautiful mountain range.Infact the whole city is a valley surrounding by many mountain ranges. On every Holiday our whole class use to go hiking. There is very much greenry in my campus.
Labs are well maintained and are open to use any time you want.

Dislikes

Girls is to boys ratio is vary low. Many male teachers including HOD and director.
The area is vary much disturbed due to regular voilance break out between communities. The are internet suppensions without any restarting date.
Seniers in this college are fools and idiot. Drugs are easy available in this area which also with cheapness

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for employment after 4th year or we can say after or during 8 semester. And intership are made available after 3rd year. Many companies come to the campus including both MNC'S and indian companies. For CSE branch Minimum package is 8 LPA Mean package is 11 LPA Highest package is 45 LPA For ECE branch minimum package is 6 LPA Mean package is 9 LPA Highest package is 10 LPA Highest package is regularly given by amazon. TCS plays a role of mass recruter in yhe college.

IIIT MANIPUR , YOU SHOULD OPT. OR NOT?

teachers are very co-operative and are very good.
The campus is eco friendly and very clean.
The campus is ragging fee and hostles is also very good.

Dislikes

there are too many restrictions like you are not allowed to go outside after 8 pm.
The library is very small and very much less books are present.
Game equipments are not presents and girls is to boys ration is 1:10

Placement Experience:

Placements are overall good for CSE departments. Average package is 10-12 lpa,and placement percentage is also about 76 % not all placement are campus based some are off campus placement .This is too less as compased to other IIITs .The placement in ece department is about 8-10 lpa which is also very less compared to other IIITs.

There are many clubs,which helps to improve your overall personality
Campus is situated in Imphal valley,..and it's having green lusture,

Dislikes

Rudeness of some faculties , better Don't message with them
Clubs present in college are only working on WhatsApp
Outbreak of violence,and uniformed suspension of internet

Placements are nice..For CSE its good to go,like avg package of CSE is 10-12 lpa,and highest one went to 45 lpa,but if you are in ECE ,you have to worry a little bcoz placement this year for ECE was : Highest package is 10 lpa...

Beautiful Female faculties , Stillness And Beautiness Of North East...
If you like holidays,you are gonna like this college bcoz government here impose curfew in every third week...
I like to interact with faculties here,bcoz they share their experiences,and they are very helpful,..

Dislikes

Not having a permanent campus, rudeness of some faculty

Mess Food and Hostel are not in the college campuses,they are almost 1km away from college and hostel are in residential are,so we can't do that much of fun there...

Placement Experience:

CSE Placement are very nice, students are able to get placement worth more than 10 lakh easily,and highest one is 45 lpa. If you are in ECE than you have to worry coz highest placement of ECE this year is 10-12 lpa only. We can't judge college based on this bcoz, placement is based on students performance,and in last year seniors were not that compatible of getting higher placement,few years ago there were placement in ECE was good almost same to cse.
