I had one bad impression-ragging. It created panic among us at the beginning of our college life. Though management was good enough and handled the situation efficiently. Overall, college life is a golden memory for me. All faculty and friends are assets to my life.

There was no entrance exam needed. Admission was on the basis of 10+2 score.

Calcutta University is the first in india to provide psychology. The library is very well stacked, which is extremely important as psychology books are very expensive. The practical lab is very updated compared to other colleges in the city.

This college is best for them who want to complete regular graduation course as distance learning is not valued by most of the companies. But do not expect placement opportunities from here.

Internal examHSC (Class 12) marks served as a cut off. The general cut off marks was 85%.The exam was basically over concepts over computer science.

This is the best college for Undergraduate Microbiology in Kolkata and surroundings.

I joined B.Sc in Biochemistry (Hons.) after my higher secondary exam (WBCHSE). There was no entrance exam for this particular course at Asutosh College and the admission was based on the score of our higher secondary examination. I applied for this course as I was inspired by my elder cousin who was then pursuing her higher studies in this same subject.

No entrance examination required. Only pass 1 standard with 60% marks and Science Background. Need to have science background in 12th standard.

Shri Shikshayatam College is one of the best colleges in the city of Kolkata. It is by far the best girls' college affiliated to the University of Calcutta. A perfect balance of discipline and liberty is maintained in the institution. The strict yet knowledgeable professors guide us appropriately, which enables each individual to establish her own personality. There is adequate security management here. The cafeteria has perfectly fresh food facilities. The laboratories are safe and well equipped. The washrooms are always clean, with wending machines installed in each of the floors. SSC has the biggest library amongst all the colleges of the university, and it goes without saying that the facilities are provided keeping in mind the best interests of the students. Sports day, annual day, cultural festival, etc are celebrated. Thus, I'd like to conclude by saying that anyone would be lucky to be a part of this 60-year-old institution of education and much more.

The college needed total revamp. The faculty of physiology and Zoology were of high standard. Extra curricular activities, Canteen were almost non-existent.
