Is IIT Kanpur MTech worth it?

I completed my MTech in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kanpur. IITK offers MTech in 15 specializations with CSE, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering and biological sciences being the top ones. As per the NIRF 2023 Ranking, IIT Kanpur is ranked #4 for Engineering, and #1 for Innovation among Indian colleges/universities. IITK is also ranked #3 Overall by India Today 2023 Ranking. A good number of core companies visit the Aerospace department for M.Tech placements likeAirbus, Mercedes Benz, John Deere, Caterpillar,among others. Other than that,students of Aerospace Engineering can sit for Analytical and Software companies if interested. The benefit is that these companies provide better packages than the core companies.ISRO, DRDO and other Indian Aeronautical Engineering firms prefer MTech students over BTechduring the IIT Kanpur placements because their work requires a specialized knowledge of the field. As per the M.Tech placement 2023 data released by DoMS, IIT Kanpur, the batch recorded 100% placements (i.e. all 18 students were successfully placed). The highest CTC offered was INR 27 LPA, the top 30% students received an average CTC of INR 23 LPA, the median CTC was INR 15.38 LPA, and the average CTC was INR 16.9 LPA. Does IIT Kanpur offer an M.Tech course in robotics or mechatronics?

Admissions to MTech programs are done on the basis of GATE. This program is offered by the Center for Robotics and Mechatronics at IIT Kanpur. Initially sem feels very much hectic and hard to survive

Fees and Financial Aid:

At the time of admission I have to pay approx 40000 rupees. Besides this sem is approximately 9000 and 15000 hostel fees. We get 50% rebate in tution fees. It's not at all expensive in terms of money and only thing is we do have to pay extra of we learn a extra curricular activities.

IITK, a newbie POV

The course curriculum is too hectic and regouros.

The availability of scholarship is given to those who needed actually. There are lot's of alumni funded scholarships and some given from the college itself (by the Institute Counseling Services) most likely.

Course work pressure are very hectic in iit kanpur

Tution fees of IIT is very less as compare to nit. In iit kanpur, tution fee is 10000 only in one year.you will get 12400 per month from MHRD.So you can complete your Mtech without taking money from your parents.

In first semester fees is 43750 Approx. Excluding mess charge which depends on you. Approx mess charge vary from 2.5-4K per month. In the second semester fees is 30K approx. In mtech we got 12400 stipend per month.

Masters in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2023-2035

Tuition fee is 5000 per semester. It has not increased from several years. Complete cost will be around 2 lacs for 2 years. MHRD gives Scholarship of 12400 per month for performing Teaching assistanceship in the institute, 8 hours per week.

Internship Oppurtunities at IIT Kanpur

Initially i paid 43685 rupees during admission out of which 17000 rupees were caution money and then we also paid rupees 5000 rupees per semester and then since I am enrolled in teaching assistantship role here at IIT Kanpur so I also get12400 rupees per month.

Hectic curriculum, sometimes its just too much to handle

fees is not high, 22 thousand per semester only, other than that 3 thousand per month for mess is required. You can do TA duty which gives you 12 thousand per month which will cover up your daily expenses.

THE BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS OF IIT KANPUR

We get 12400 of monthly stipend for teaching assistantship provided by the institute. In this teaching assistantship we have to solve doubts of junior students once a week for 3 hours and help them pass their coding labs. The fees overall is very very less which makes the course highly affordable as due to stipend it becomes almost free.

Nothing has to dislike here but if I have to give ans for this question then I tell ACADEMIC

So for M.tech from iit kanpur the fee is very low as campre to any other iits (top 7) . For Masters course you will get stipend (12400 per month) so you can manage your fee from here . If you are a SC/ST candidate then your overall fee is 10k less than others
