At the time of admission I have to pay approx 40000 rupees. Besides this sem is approximately 9000 and 15000 hostel fees. We get 50% rebate in tution fees. It's not at all expensive in terms of money and only thing is we do have to pay extra of we learn a extra curricular activities.

Tuition fee is 5000 per semester. It has not increased from several years. Complete cost will be around 2 lacs for 2 years. MHRD gives Scholarship of 12400 per month for performing Teaching assistanceship in the institute, 8 hours per week.

Internship Oppurtunities at IIT Kanpur

Initially i paid 43685 rupees during admission out of which 17000 rupees were caution money and then we also paid rupees 5000 rupees per semester and then since I am enrolled in teaching assistantship role here at IIT Kanpur so I also get12400 rupees per month.

Hectic curriculum, sometimes its just too much to handle

fees is not high, 22 thousand per semester only, other than that 3 thousand per month for mess is required. You can do TA duty which gives you 12 thousand per month which will cover up your daily expenses.

THE BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS OF IIT KANPUR

We get 12400 of monthly stipend for teaching assistantship provided by the institute. In this teaching assistantship we have to solve doubts of junior students once a week for 3 hours and help them pass their coding labs. The fees overall is very very less which makes the course highly affordable as due to stipend it becomes almost free.
