Ph.D. (Humanities) From IIT BHU, Varanasi

a) Applicants with a Master’s degree in relevant subjects or allied subjects with a minimum CPI of 6.00 on a 10.0 point scale (or 60% marks) in the qualifying degree.

b) Applicants with a Master’s degree in Science or allied subjects with a minimum CPI of 6.00 on a 10.0 point scale (or 60% marks) in the qualifying degree.

c) Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences (4-Year program) with a minimum CPI of 7.50 on a 10.0 point scale (or 75% marks) in the bachelor degree. Applicant with more than two years of professional experience, the minimum requirement shall be 70% marks or 7.0 CPI (on 10 point scale) at bachelor's degree provided the degree is from an Institution funded by the Central Government.

Total Fees for Sponsored (all category) / External ** – Rs 65,465

Total fees for External ** – Rs 62,265 (part-time registration)

Total fees for Project Fellow – Rs 30,465 (part-time registration)

Total fees for internal Permanent Faculty/staff of IIT (BHU – Rs 13,900 (part-time registration)

Note:-

• All regular SC / ST / PD students are exempted from the tuition fees and hostel seat rent
• For regular Ph.D. students, the Tuition fee is Rs 10000 (waiver of Rs 35000) 
• No tuition fee waiver for sponsored (SC/ST/PD), QIP, and External Students
• **Students who return back to their parent institution/organization after completing the SOTA seminar and minimum residency period. 

These students will pay the fees below:-

Tuition fee – Rs 5000 + Examination fee – Rs 500 + Registration / Enrolment fee – Rs 200 – Total Rs 5700

• The student who is admitted during the Even sem will pay Rs 285 only. Further, each odd sem will pay Rs 365

Fees for Foreign Students (at the time of admission):-

• For SAARC Countries – US $ 3000 + Rs 65,465 
• For other countries – US $ 5000 + Rs 65,465

Fees for Foreign Students (semester fees):-

Additional Rs 365 as Medical Insurance Fee in every Odd Sem every year
