Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU) is a public state university in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh established in 1965. The university is recognised by the UGC and has been accredited by the NAAC with Grade A++. The university has been ranked 41 in the overall category in 2025 by NIRF.

CCSU offers M.Sc and BA + L.L.B as its popular programs.
The total fees for M.Sc in microbiology is INR 1.12 Lakhs and total fees for BA + L.L.B is INR 1.77 Lakhs.

CCSU Campus and Facilities

CCSU has a large campus size that occupies over 200 acres offering a setting that has both academic and research studies. The university has well equipped laboratories and departmental buildings and a central library which has large print and electronic content supporting various areas of study. In the campus, the students are provided with hostel facilities, sports facilities and simple medical facilities. CCSU has seminar halls, auditoriums and specific research centres which facilitate frequent academic activities and joint projects.

Library: The university has a well equipped Central Library & a Digital Library. The collection of books are huge in both. A total number of 154059 Volumes, 103288 Titles, 27444 Bound Volumes of Journals, 20015 PhD Theses, 82 Current Foreign Journals, 106 Current Indian Journals, 35 Magazine & 17 Newspapers are there in the library, around 114 e-journals, 2884 e-theses and 67000 e-books are available.
Hostel: The university provides accommodation facilities with eight fully furnished hostels separately for boys and girls. The facilities come with wi-fi connection, water heaters, RO water cooler etc. In addition there are sports facilities like table-tennis rooms, chess and carrom etc available in each hostel.
Sports & Games: The university campus offers excellent indoor and outdoor sports facilities.. Some indoor and outdoor games facilities like basketball, volleyball, table tennis, chess, carom, cricket, badminton, football and wrestling etc. are also available within the institute premises.

Good college for those who need a lot of time.

Likes

The infrastructure is great and the campus is lush green.
Faculty is highly capable and very supportive of nature.
If you aim is government examination or startup which requires a good amount of time, that you can get here.

Dislikes

The courses is bit old and out dateded but that is the case of most engineering colleges.
Placement is not great in this college, if you want get placement then you can't rely on college.
You don't get much of cultural fest and program in this college plus no light life of this locality.

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

According to my rank i got this college, advantage is that its a government college plus the fees is reasonable with decent curriculum. Not much of preparation is done for future application based on the course you have to work on your own. Teaching methodology but curriculum can be improved in the context in few subject like engineering drwaing, workshop lab, assignment making. Frequency of exam is decent plus difficulty is average plus timinig is apt.

What are the internship opportunities in the campus?

There is not much opportunity for internship available in the college unless you are in touch with seniors and placement cell. Meaning you have to work really hard to grab the opportunity. There was a senior in our college whom i know got internship in geeksforgeeks.

Various companies recruiting from the campus and highest package being offered

I am first year student who got admitted in this college in 2024 so i don't have much idea about the first question. Know to my information these are the companies which visited our campus last time - wipro, tcs, infosys, flipkart, hcl tech, etc. Highest package is 22 lakh and average package is 3.5 lakh. The chances is you getting place is not much unless you work very hard for it. My personal plan is doing business so in my case i require a lot of time for my personal ambition. Which i get in this college.

Yearly fees structure of the course and scholarship

My fees is 91000 per year plus 5000 seurity money plus 35180 ( hostel plus mess) fees. This 96000 includes sports and other miscellaneous fees mentioned above. This fees is same for all the student of all categories. Scholarship will be provided by uttar pradesh or national government scholarship funded program, for general and obc category 60000 to 63000 and st, sc category the scholarship is 70000 to 100000.

Various sports and infrastructure of the college

Hackathon and google developer group can be accessed in this college as they happen on decent frequency. Library is very good so you can get all the books that you will needs. Smart board is available in the class the classroom is of decent size. Sports curriculum is very good we get all the types of sporting facility like cricket ground basketball court, badminton court wresting complex, football ground there are some common wealth level athletes in our university. Social media group is available at this college and one or two student are selected for handing it, same for other clubs like sport, drama, etc.

What are facilities available in the college hostel?

Two tube light, two chair, two study tabel, one fan, two bed, two almirah, two switch boards in a single room for for two student. The meal decent, menu is ok ok, they follow the menu. During physical reporting you will apply for hostel and according to available space and distance of your home to college you will be given the priority of paying the hostel fees and getting hostel room. I do not have reneted any local room.

Faculty and examination pattern of the college

For about 50 students you get one teacher which according to me is decent ratio. Most of the faculity are very supportive and pragmatic they understand the needs of students and work in alignment. I like swati mam beacuse she is very good chemistry teacher in as my in first year. There is no as such faculty which i would don't like. There are 2 sessional exam beafore a semester exam which happens twice a year that means you will get four sessional exam in a year. Best of either sessional subject wise will be considered with semester marks to make the result. Three fourth of the coureses is very much relevant and requires decent amount of effort to score good in exam rest is not relevant in today's changing world.

What is the admission process of the campus?

I got lucknow university for mechanical engineering but i was more interested in electronics and communication engineering and this why i chose ccsu over lu. I applied only for aktu and this the college i got based on my preference. Through jee mains exam result i applied for aktu counselling where i got ccsu in third round. Then of physical reporting week was allotted. And i presented myself in between with all the necessary doucment the admission fees was 2000, all the admission process take 2 hrs to complete after that you can apply for hostel and after 2 to 3 days you can visit the site of ccsu to complete the fees payment for hostel( the tuition fees at least for a semester needs to be paid at the time of physical reporting which was 30000 in my case plus 20000 which i paid during the aktu counseling).

Night Life

You get 2 gyms in this university one is open gym the other one is normal one. With all the equipment in great condition with a trainer also. There is a canteen in our university. There are two libraries the first one is common libray to all the students of the university ( main library) the second one is dedicated to scriet. Hostel life is similar to other government hostel. Where two people accommodate in one room. Both will get a almirah. Study table for each. Mess food is decent. Hostel closes after 10 pm. There is temple in the university. There is small forest type area where love birds hangout. There is no night life in the locality of the university but delhi, dehradun, rishikesh are 2 to 3 hrs from university.

Frankly, i applied to many other private institutions but they were either far away from the place, or the fee was way too much and unreasonable, in many of them the teachers were very tight and the environment was not safe for girls. While the other reason was the rigorous admission process , whereas in my college it was very easy interview based regardless of the background or subject choices of the students, the place is very secure and the questions are asked based on the subjects taken by the student in 11th. The interviewers are very soft and kind and hold abundance of knowledge about their specific fields. Honestly i wasn't rejected in any of the colleges i applied to but i did not go on with the procedure of choosing them because of the distance and crowd

The infrastructure of the college is also fine with air-conditioned classroom, A vast playground, Library and computer labs.
The administration department of the college is social and open to talk and discuss about the issues facing by the students.

Dislikes

Sometime the security staff allows anyone without identity card that makes is vulnerable to anyone who wants to roam around the college corridor.
The overall infrastructure is good but it needs to be developed a lot like there is lack of technological advancement. Smart classes with well-maintained cleanliness the cafeteria also needds to be developed with proper menu.
The administration department is good but slow which causes unnecessary delay in getting important works done. Which can be frustrating and effects the academics and ovrerall campus experience of the students.

Admission:

I applied for HLM college and got confirmed for the addmission but i was not ready to take addmission at that time. I did not get any rejection from any of the colleges. Firstly you need to appear for UPB.ED state examination conducting every year after passing the examination you can visit the college of your choice and confirm your seat allotment. As soon your document verification of completed your addmission is confirmed. There is not cutoff barriers for getting addmission in private college but for government college you need to get ranked in top 8000 in the state.

Chaudhary Charan Singh University is a well-known university in the region. It offers good infrastructure and facilities to students. The university library has a good collection of books. CCS alumni list includes names such as Mayawati, Murli Manohar Joshi, Kumar Vishwas, etc. The campus placements for the institute aren’t too good. But you can get good opportunities through off-campus placements.

The fee for the Mphill is INR 2,155 - 42,500 depending on the specialization. Aspirants seeking admission to 1 year Full-time Program should have a Master's degree in concerned subject with 55% marks. Bachelor's Degree with an aggregate of 55% marks including the concerned subject (wherever applicable), and second division in the Intermediate examination; or 50% marks in Bachelor’s degree as well as Intermediate examination separately.
