Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must possess a master's degree in Psychology or related disciplines such as Clinical Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Educational Psychology, or equivalent qualification obtained through full-time or regular mode of education
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all years/semesters) or a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in their master's degree
- Candidates must have completed their qualifying degree in full-time or regular mode of education (correspondence or distance education degrees are not eligible)
Admission Process
- Register on the VITREE portal and fill the online application form with personal, educational, and research background details
- Submit a two-page research proposal outlining the proposed research area, objectives, and methodology in the prescribed format
- Pay the application fee of INR 1,200 (including GST) through online payment gateway; this fee is non-refundable
- Download and save the admit card from the OTBS (Online Test Booking System) portal after slot booking
- Appear for VITREE 2026 at the selected test center on the chosen date (April 28 or May 3, 2026)
- Participate in personal interview (physical mode at Vellore campus) based on VITREE performance and research proposal evaluation
- Receive admission offer through VIT website, email, and SMS notifications
- Complete document verification, select a research guide, and pay tuition fees to confirm admission
- Report to the campus for registration, hostel allotment (if applicable), and formal enrollment
