Ans. The minimum duration for Ph.D. (Information Technology) is 3 years from the date of registration. However, most scholars complete their research within 3-4 years. The maximum allowed duration is 6 years, after which scholars must submit their thesis or exit the program.
Ques. Can I pursue Ph.D. part-time while working?
Ans. The Ph.D. (Information Technology) at VIT Vellore is offered only in full-time mode (Internal Full Time - IFT). Part-time Ph.D. options are available only at VIT Bhopal campus for eligible candidates (teachers and industry professionals). Full-time commitment is required for the Vellore campus program.
