Academically, teachers are very well qualified and serious about their jobs so teaching is at par with best engineering institutes in india if not better. Courses are mostly relevant and unnecessary subjects are removed unlike many other colleges.

Dislikes

Exams are so frequent that we hardly get time for self development or building other skills. For 9 pointers, attandance doesn't matter so they can. For others, life is very hectic.
Charging fees for everything,like fests, hackathons and workshops even after paying a huge amount of fees. Most colleges offer fests, workshops and hackathons for free

Fees for Btech is ?1,76,000 per year for btech in EEE, Chemical, civil, fashion technology and 1,96,000 for Cse, cse specialisations, ece, mechanical(category 1) and hostel fees ranges from approx 1 to 3 lakhs per year (including mess) depending on the type of accommodation and mess. Personally, I had to pay 1,76,000 rs for tution. 94,000 rs for 3 bed non ac room, 78,800 rs for veg mess. This was for first year. Hostel and mess fees is increasing every year approx 16%. Tution fees has also increased over time but not as much. Other fees: Registration fee:6000 rs (non refundable) Caution fee:15,000 rs(refundable) Admission fee:15,000 rs(non refundable) There are 5 categories and for each category add approx 1 lakh to the tution fees. Category 1 is for the higher rankers and category 5 is for the lowest rank students who want the same branch, hence the fees is highest for them. Hostel and mess fees remain same for all categories. Category 2 tution fees for my branch, EEE would be around 2,60,000 rs or more. There is no management quota. There are scholarships for top rankers in VITEEE: 75% tution fee waiver for 1-50 rank holders, 50% tution fee waiver for 51-100 rank holders and 25% tution fee waiver to 101-1000 rank holders. 100% tution fee waiver for central and state board toppers. These scholarships will be there in first year and continue second year onwards only if you have 8+ cgpa, fulfilled attendance criteria and not participated in any indisciplinary activity. No caste based or need based reservation or scholarships. You can avail outside scholarships under government schemes or big companies.

The grading system is not equal for all. It cannot be considered a metric for the brilliance of a student.

College Tuition fees for B.Tech. Electrical and Electronics Engineering for Category - 1 is ?1,76,000 only. For successive categories, which go upto category 5, the tuition fee increases by approximately ?1,00,000. development and lab fees are covered in the tuition fees. Fees of my batchmates varies according to their category. For scholarships, you have to rank in under the top 100 in VITEEE.

VIT "WE always on TOP"

The course that I choose is EEE department which is quite tough on its own but the teachers made it very easy the way to explain and teacher is also good that's why the scores is easy and I can explode a lot of options for my future which can lead it

The total fees for 4 years of college is around 1452300 which is distributed in 4 equal parts to be paid at the starting of each year. And this fees does not increase for once enrolled students. The year wise fees that I pay is 363075. This fees includes my tuition fees which is around 172000 per annum includes my development fees lakh fees and other compulsory charges along with my hostel and Mess fees. Now this college has total five categories in which students are enrolled where fees increases from category 1 and is highest at category 5. My college has all kind of students ranging from category 1 to category 5. Now this college provides scholarships for the toppers in their entrance exam and has also some schemes for different kind of students. They also provides scholarships based on the merits of students. The fees affordability also good because it provides quality knowledge in return of the money charged.

Life of an EEE student at VIT-C

Labs are well equipped and maintained regularly. There are a lot of components and practical opportunities offered to the students

The curriculum is strict. Attendance is made mandatory to be more than are equal which is okay, but those who do not maintain it are strictly Debarred from attending any examination Without a proper reason

I had enough rank in the VITEEE test to come under the first category of admission (cheapest).The year wise fee I pay is ?1, 63,000 as tuition fee only. There is only one fee of ?5,200 which is paid during the admission process. Other than this, there are no fees i pay extra throught the year. So in total, for the term of 4 years as a B. Tech undergraduate, I must pay 6,52,000 only for the tuition. My batchmates who joined in with second fee category, pay a lakh more. As the category goes up the fee structure goes up by a lakh. The for the Toppers of VITEEE, the university select the students and they are provided incentive waivers but it is decided by the Institute.

A Review of a detailed VIT student life

VIT has it's own entrance exam called VITEEE which helds every year. The exam is of 120 marks with no negetive marking. The students who ranked under 100000 in the exam got chance to have all campus of VIT. Students ranked avove 1 lakh are only allowed to choose VIT AP and Bhopal Campus. VIT has a five category fee structure.Students under 20000 rank comes under category 1 , they can get first chance to select their branch and have comparitively lower fees. The prize goes up as you move to higher category. The top 100 students get upto 90% scholarship, then top 500 students get upto 50% scholarship. I joined in EEE branch in vellore campus in category 1 and my yearly fees is around 3.5 lakhs with hostell and mess. It rounds upto 14-16 lakhs. The hostell has 2 bed to 8 bed option rooms with AC and NON AC both and the price varies according to it. The mess has veg, non veg and special option with different cateres. The food quality varies different to diiferernt caterers and it is completely luck based to get a good caterer in 1st year though you get a chance to change the mess

I am paying like 2lakhs per year for the College and 1.86lakhs for the hostel. Idk the exact fees for lab, development and such things. Some others pay 3lakhs and some pay 5lakhs.Its totally based on which fee slab we are in. Our college provides scholarships that are allowed by our government
