Each department enrolls 15 to 20 students yearly, supported by 3 to 5 knowledgeable and kind faculty members. The examination system includes two sessional tests and a main end-semester exam for each subject. Sessional tests are initially scored between 30 and 40, then adjusted to 20. Combined, they contribute 40 marks towards the main exam, which is scored out of 100 and adjusted to 60. Placement opportunities are available annually for second-year master's students in fields such as pharma, IT, and drug companies.
To be eligible for interviews, students must maintain at least 65% in all semesters. The university offers a 2 to 3-week summer research internship with 4 days of lab training, either online or offline, allowing students to work in cities like Chennai, Ranipet, and Bengaluru in sectors like SIPCOT and BHEL. The two-year master's program has tuition fees of 6910 rupees annually for OBC students and 4795 rupees annually for SC/ST students.
There are additional fees, including a refundable 700 rupee caution deposit and a 41 rupee safety insurance fee per year. Financial aid is provided through the National Scholarship Portal, offering 20,000 rupees per year to each student. Students who achieve the top rank in a semester receive 8,000 rupees per semester. Those securing the top rank across all semesters without backlogs are eligible for a Ph.D. stipend from DST - FIST, providing 37,000 rupees monthly for the first two years as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and 42,000 rupees monthly for the following three years as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF).
