University of Madras offers several courses in distance education programs. Institute of Distance Education offers a total number of 15 UG, 20 PG, 16 Diploma and 20 Certificate courses. - Library: The University of Mardana IDE provides a well equipped library which includes all types of books, journals, periodicals and a lot more. Apart from print the college has a diverse collection of e-resources. All the courses are provided semester wise at the college's E-Sources.
- Faculty: IDE Madras University has a total number of 34 faculty members. 4 faculties each For Tamil, English, Mathematics and management studies there are 4 teaching faculties, 3 faculties for Economics, Commerce, Psychology and Computer Science. Well, there is no entrance exam to get into Madras University..to get admission you should visit the college after the admission procedure is stated get the form from the office, fill it up, have your transfer certificate, migration certificate, mark sheet, and valid proof Xerox ready and pay the fees get your id card and your admission is done. There is no minimum cutoff or anything..you should be passed, that's it. The exams are held each semester and are at an average level. The time to get a form and get admission is lengthy and long.
