04 Nov, 2025 NIRF Ranking 2025 has been released on September 4, 2025. University of Madras Chennai secured the following positions:

#68 out of 200 under “Overall Category”

#18 out of 100 universities under “Overall University Category”

Madras University ranking 2023 is released by national and global ranking agencies such as NIRF, QS Ranking, etc. As per the NIRF 2023 rankings, Madras University bags the 50th position amongst the top 100 universities in India and ranks 65th in the overall category. Madras University also falls in the 541-550 rank band and 251-260 rank band in overall world and Asian University rankings respectively in QS Global rankings 2023. As per the Centre for World University Ranking (CWUR), Madras University ranks at the 1905 position among the top 2000 global universities with the 60th position in national rankings.

I liked the method of teaching.there are using ad⁰vance technology like digital board , mic
They also build our conversation skills and they teach other languages free of cost like french and hindi
They also teaching digital marketing, Ms word with power BI, excel, tally, AI, python , Java many other cources at free of cost through the help of hoping minds, they shine our career much and also they provide certificates also

Dislikes

Campus is small and They are both anna adarsh school and college
Now, only they are building Auditorium. I donot when will they finish work
Canteen charge much cost, that is affordable

Internships Opportunities:

If we are intested we can go for the internship. They teachs how to survive in society, internship opportunities is very huge. Our college will give many internships to earn. This will gain our experience

In this i have not much ideas as i not in engeenering department. But as i see they offer good roles in intenships where we have tied up with companies like Infosys wipro biocon Capgemini The projects done by our batch student are many with good explain.

The internship opportunities available in my college there are 100+ company i will get to work the companys are tcs, wiproo, cognizant etc the companies and roles offered under internship with stipend

Atmosphere and affordability

Likes

Atmosphere peaceful place everything well organised
Infrastructure is soo good for indoor stadium
Library is good with fully centralised AC

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students will be eligible without any backlog. Axis bank, Deloitte, zuilka motors , Maruti Suzuki I got offer letter from 2 companies Axis Bank and zulika motors Axis Bank offered for 240000/- per annum and zulika motors offered 300000/- per annum. Then I tried outside also I got even better package 420000/- per annum at Avias india manufacturer of stainless Steel and kitchenware. So I went with Better package I went for 5 months then I resigned the job for the higher studies

we didnt get any interships offer from collage campus.I have tried my self in outside after the college has been completed.Travel and tourism has been didnt get any intership,but other depnments has been got Tcs, Hcl interships.

Program they afford is good and they offer various type of short program that helps to the main program we selected . They help to choose right program we have to atten in order to gain more knowledge about the main program
Cultures takes biggest part as student life really can be enjoying . Culture program and other festival they celebrate with lots of events like dance singing craft and so so many things they also alo student to put stalls and gain some money for use
Staff behavior are good they talk to student very humble and they also help with students personal life they provide all safety and need to student as much as they can and they teaching method is also very interesting

Dislikes

Canteen don't allow outside foods to eat inside the canteen so sometimes we have to eat alone because of that or we have to pay for canteen cash to buy some food and eat their with friends and they also don't provide free water at canteen . And they

Internships Opportunities:

They tie up with lots of industrial and they're providing monthly internship to student and they package starts from around 25000rs and above. In semester holidays they provide small internship to student to gain practical knowledge and experience of job

need to develop more syllabus all wapin outdated

Likes

The college campus is really good and the environment is really pleasant.
classroom infrastructure is good and spacious.
The staffs and management are really very friendly.

Dislikes

There is no parking facility for student's vehicle.
The fees charged here is slightly increasing by year by year.
we have to walk a long way to reach the college premise which is far from the main gate.

Internships Opportunities:

They also provide various internship programs for srtudents with a minimum stipend. Maximum these internships are for 3 months with 13k stripend. Mostly sales executive roles are provided since the college being a coomerce oreinted college. Atleast 4 to 5 companies come with internships for students every academic year.

Degree with a dose of life

Likes

The library is so good with lots of books and well maintained. It also includes system availability and wifi access. Students can come during library hours or after college hours to the library.
The infrastructure of college is good. The main auditorium and the mini auditorium with AC is used for cultural events and other programs. There are two seminar halls with AC and maintained cleanly. Classrooms were also good.
Most of the teachers were friendly and they guided in our projects so well.

Dislikes

There are some security ladies who will come to canteen during our break time and they always rush us to leave. We should leave immediately after eating. We can't wait for other person to finish. They behave rudely.
The syllabus is very basic and I think we didn't gain any advanced knowledge. With this level we are struggling to write entrance exam in other institutions.
There is no bus/van facilities in college so it is difficult for long distance students. They will collect our ID card even if we come 5 mins late.

There is no paid internship offers. We went to Balaji medical college for 10 days internship. We have taught some practical experiments and got certificate. We paid 2k for that. During our final yearz we did our team projects with the help of our guide.
