- The college is near the foothills of the Eastern and Western Ghats so the view is great, the atmosphere is great and really tuned for studying.
- Cafeterias are present inside the campus.
- The College provides free Wi-Fi in hostel and on campus.
Dislikes
- Karunya is a Christian minority college and all their prayers are Christian oriented.
- Just like every college karunya too has no ragging and no women harassing policy but the problem arises when students are not even allowed to talk to the opposite sex about anything except academics.
- Karunians are not allowed to go outside the hostel even on holidays.
Placement Experience:
Placements begin from the 6th semester (3rd year end). Placements come from various companies like Accenture, Ascendion, Amazon, Bosch, Cognizant, Cisco, Infosys, Wipro, Tata, etc. The placements provided have a package of minimum 4.5LPA reaching upto 48LPA. Each students receive atleast two placements package. Students can also apply for other packages from other companies. The selection process has two steps: first an exam based on the job and an direct interview. About 85% of students get jobs and the rest eitger goes for higher education or an entrepreneurship. My plan is to get a job at good company with high LPA.

- There are a lot of things to say about karunya. First of about the climate ,its not that bad or that good . In the winter season the place is very nice . The first year ground is good place for evening walks.
- If we are talking about food ,there are separate mess for students .For example ,kerala mess ,south mess ,andhra mess, north mess and nri mess.
- When it comes to ragging the faculty will protect us .We don't have to fear any body .First year ,Second year ,Third year and fourth are separated from each other. So we don't have to fear anybody.
Dislikes
- Comparing to other colleges the freedom is little lesser. It will take more than one hour to reach the coimbatore town.there is no malll near the college
- The fees is around three lakh and sixty thousand per year .That is quiet big for an average family .That is one of the main disadvantage of this college
- Some times the climate is so bad .I n summer season the climate is very hot during afternoon it will be like a steam bath . In monsoon season we can,t play any games
Placement Experience:
The average package in karunya is around six to seven lakhs per annum .But a guy got 5 lakh per month which is one of the highest package a student got in karunya university . Intel ,IBM ,Amazon are one of the major companies that come to karunya.

- First and most important thing i would like to tell about Karunya University is that it is a deemed University and it is accredited with NAAC A++ and therefore the placement here is very high.
- The facilities of Karunya Univeristy are international level as they have most advanced labs and equipments for training the students.
- Karunya mainly focuses on raising Enterprenuers as they teach and support a student to start a business with inoovations.
Dislikes
- The collage is located almost 30km away from town so it is in a village area.
- Hostels are very strict preventing students to go out.
- Attendance above 95% should be maintained for scholarship.
Placement Experience:
In Karunya University students from 3rd year are eligible for placements if they could crack the interview. The companies that visit Karunya for placemnts include Infosys,Wipro etc .Many students from Karunya have recieved high salary package upto Crores per annum.Currenty they say that all students of Karunya are getting placed either through campus interview or other ways.My plan after my degree is to get placed with a high package job through Karunya.

- Not allowed to go out of campus even for presentation
- Attendance should be present for 80% it's compulsory if it goes down by 0.1% you are not allowed to write exams
Placement Experience:
Placements are not that better because the salary package was too low .The placement percentage is about 20-50%. There will be placement training for pre final years and final years. I was planning on an job after graduation.

One of my friends studied at Karunya University. According to him, it is very reputed in the country. The campus environment is peaceful and comfortable.
- The infrastructure of its campus is very beautiful and various kinds of facilities are available for the students.
- The laboratories available at this college are good and equipped with modern machinery.
- There are hostels available for the students. All basic facilities such as laundry service are being provided to the students.
- These facilities are a big relief to those students who don't have enough free time to wash their clothes.
- The rules and regulations of this institution are very strict, especially for girls.
- The campus is far away from the main city of Coimbatore, sometimes it becomes difficult to travel from the city to campus.
- You will have to take permission from the administration for almost everything by writing them a letter or an application.
Hence, the rules and regulations of this university are very strict and you will have to abide by all the rules if you wish to study at this university.

What is your review of Karunya University?
Pawan Kumar MehtaStudied at Karunya University (2019)
A few of my friends have studied here and their experiences have been moderate. Karunya University has improved over the years but you cannot expect too much from here.
Following are some of the pros and cons of the university:
Pros –
- Good infrastructure with well-equipped facilities including hostels
- Climate is good throughout the year.
- Ragging is comparatively low.
- If you are a person who accumulates arrears this is the place for you. University will help you out, a supplementary examination is held in the middle of a semester just to help students clear their arrears.
- WiFi connection is available.
- You can choose faculties as per your wish
Cons –
- There is a morning assembly every day. This includes starting prayer, ending prayer and in between someone will pray for you from the stage. You should maintain 80% of attendance for Assembly.
- Management is not efficiently managed
- The grading system is not fair. There will be four to five faculties for the same subject.
If you are opting for Karunya University, then go only for CSE as only it is good. Other departments like ECE and EE do not have proper faculty members or infrastructure. Do not waste your time in such departments.
