You have a good percentage in high school and jee you'll get scholarships like 1.4 lakh.
Faculties were very friendly and approachable,motivated students who lack in academics, encourage students who are talented, solve their doubts
The infrastructure of the campus just looking like a wow, the cub activities provided here is well good to equiped by the students and has many field of interest of the students the club activities are provided

Dislikes

Sometimes the mess food worst. It's based on the mood of the contract team. I literally hate that kind of attitude.
Sometimes you might feel a stress of the curriculum has there will be a limited time
their rules are a bit more rude and strict

Karunya University Review

Likes

The college environment is really nice. It's surrounded by beautiful mountains.The infrastructure is really good with Big library, Modern lab facilities etc.
You will be studying with students coming from different states of India. So, the culture is very good.
Friendly staffs. They guide you throughout your course. Infact, they allocate a separate mentor for you. If you're facing any trouble, you can get it solved through them.

Dislikes

No Culturals. They don't conduct any Culturals other than Christian choir and dramas.

Placement Experience:

After completing 6th semester, students can attend the placement. They have a separate section called karunya placement centre in which they provide all the necessary training to ace the interviews at free of cost. The highest package offered in my batch is 15 Lpa and the average package is 4 Lpa. Companies like Accenture, Wipro, IBM, Tata Technologies, Zoho hired students from my college.

Regarding my College

Likes

I like the campus and the staffs it’s beautiful, There are various activities and clubs and there are free hours
They don’t give you over pressure and you can work and access the library and there are many Labs
The staffs are soo friendly and Supportive

Dislikes

It’s far to travel to the main place from college
It takes around 1 hour to reach the main bus stand
No Culturals No Outside events and no outside celebrity is invited to the campus

Placement Experience:

Placements are good here in Karunya and the highest package is 24LPA. There are various different companies visiting the campus each year and recruiting most of the students with also good internships in top companies

i like the quality of food in the mess we get
the cleanliness of the hostel and the toilets
exam curriculum of the college is good and perfect

Dislikes

i hate the prayer thing everyone have to present if you are not of christianity also
i am of cse department and the i have to walk like for 2 to 3 km to reach cse department from hostel

Placement Experience:

as i am fresher i will try to write as per my knowledge. only basic companies like accenture cognizent infosys comes so like annual package of about 6-7 lakh. we have to also see out campusing to get good jobs

The review of karunya University

Likes

I liked the most is the quality of food in the mess
Greenary the view from the hostel ground is nice no polution
And the main thing I liked also the exam curriculum

Dislikes

Their are no function only christian programs and they don't allow any other songs other then christian songs
They doesn't organise any cultural programs
I am a cse student I have to walk for like 500 total 2km to reach my department from 1st yr hostel

Placement Experience:

As I am just a fresher I will tell upto my knowledge only.. so according to my knowledge only some basic companies like Accenture Infosys congizent comes with annual package of 5-6lpa so I will opt for campusing but also will apply for outcampusings also

strong academic foundation one of the most appreciated aspects of my college experience is good
engaging campus life vibrant and clubs sports activities
effective placement service were another highlight strong ties with industry

Dislikes

heavy workload which is not easy to handle and overhelming
limited accommodation of campus rooms and supply o, and overall cost
gender ration girls and boys are not equally skewed in class room

Placement Experience:

students are eligible for the placements from the 6th semester top companies like tcs and infosys visit offering average packages of 6lpa and upto 12 lpa for top profiles over 80% get placed and work in the tech

College Confidential: The Good, the Bad and the Unexpected

Likes

The college is near the foothills of the Eastern and Western Ghats so the view is great, the atmosphere is great and really tuned for studying.
Cafeterias are present inside the campus.
The College provides free Wi-Fi in hostel and on campus.

Dislikes

Karunya is a Christian minority college and all their prayers are Christian oriented.
Just like every college karunya too has no ragging and no women harassing policy but the problem arises when students are not even allowed to talk to the opposite sex about anything except academics.
Karunians are not allowed to go outside the hostel even on holidays.

Placement Experience:

Placements begin from the 6th semester (3rd year end). Placements come from various companies like Accenture, Ascendion, Amazon, Bosch, Cognizant, Cisco, Infosys, Wipro, Tata, etc. The placements provided have a package of minimum 4.5LPA reaching upto 48LPA. Each students receive atleast two placements package. Students can also apply for other packages from other companies. The selection process has two steps: first an exam based on the job and an direct interview. About 85% of students get jobs and the rest eitger goes for higher education or an entrepreneurship. My plan is to get a job at good company with high LPA.

My experience with you.....

Likes

Actually the college have nice scenery with mountains and everything. The campus is of 800 acres. This gives us a positive vibe. There is no negative for about this college yet.
The faculties are just friendly to everyone and they will care us personally. And every student will havea mentor.
This college provide lots of placement. The placement will start here from 3rd year of BTech.

Dislikes

This college is too far from city like coimbatore. We want to travel about 1 hour from coimbatore city.

Placement Experience:

There were many companies which have Collab with my college, mainey the average package is 5 laksh per ann. The placement start during 3rd year. From 6th semester students become eligible for placement Iam not sure about the companies visited to this college because iam a fresher in this college so iam not that much sure about that The highest average package is 10 lakh per ann This college providing 100% placement. After degree maybe I will choose marine engineering or IT field

Nice fees structure its actually affordable .
Scholarships avialble for everyone of no what background you come from
Better infrastructure and nice environment

Dislikes

Far from city situated close WILDLIFE making sometimes uncomfortable.
Limited transportation and No better restaurant near
No bikes and cars allowed to campus. Some times food is not good

Placement Experience:

Studenta are eligible to campus placement from the 1st sem of 3rd year. Mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys hire freshers . And other startup also hire from here. Students also get in college placement as a faculty and assistant teaching staff. Around 88% student have placement and the university ia trying best to increase the acceptance rate.After getting my degree my plan is to work for 3 yeara in India and move to abroad for hogher qualification like nation Germany and Ireland. After that will look for Phd if all good later start a startup and get settled anywhere in abroad or in India.

I cse student for my course those who have or maintain 7.5 or above cgpa at the end of 5 semester can attend all campus placements. As of now there low no of companies are coming for placements. Average nowadays

Karunya is a nice college

Likes

I like the climate of the campus as it is located in the foothills of the mountain
The food is really nice and is home-made
I really like the infrastructure in the college. I like the labs. They are very high-tech.

Dislikes

I feel that the college is little strict, but I know that this is for the benefit of the student studying in it

Placement Experience:

Placements in the campus are nice. We have a department known as training for campus placement and Centre. The placement team is very nice as they train us to get placed in different countries. We have many multinational companies coming to recruit students of our university such as IBM, Infosys, Accenture

What is your review of Karunya University?

A few of my friends have studied here and their experiences have been moderate. Karunya University has improved over the years but you cannot expect too much from here.

Following are some of the pros and cons of the university:

Pros –

Good infrastructure with well-equipped facilities including hostels
Climate is good throughout the year.
Ragging is comparatively low.
If you are a person who accumulates arrears this is the place for you. University will help you out, a supplementary examination is held in the middle of a semester just to help students clear their arrears.
WiFi connection is available.
You can choose faculties as per your wish

Cons –

There is a morning assembly every day. This includes starting prayer, ending prayer and in between someone will pray for you from the stage. You should maintain 80% of attendance for Assembly.
Management is not efficiently managed
The grading system is not fair. There will be four to five faculties for the same subject.

If you are opting for Karunya University, then go only for CSE as only it is good. Other departments like ECE and EE do not have proper faculty members or infrastructure. Do not waste your time in such departments.

One of my friends studied at Karunya University. According to him, it is very reputed in the country. The campus environment is peaceful and comfortable.

The infrastructure of its campus is very beautiful and various kinds of facilities are available for the students.
The laboratories available at this college are good and equipped with modern machinery.
There are hostels available for the students. All basic facilities such as laundry service are being provided to the students.
These facilities are a big relief to those students who don't have enough free time to wash their clothes.
The rules and regulations of this institution are very strict, especially for girls.
The campus is far away from the main city of Coimbatore, sometimes it becomes difficult to travel from the city to campus.
You will have to take permission from the administration for almost everything by writing them a letter or an application.

Hence, the rules and regulations of this university are very strict and you will have to abide by all the rules if you wish to study at this university.
