The curriculum was simplified to us by the faculty and hence was not as difficult as we thought it would be. The curriculum covered all the aspects of biotechnology and the various sub-divisions it had. Very few subjects were completely dry and boring whereas some were very interesting and easy to understand.

I personally would say that the internship opportunities were provided for the students who could not find an internship on thier own. I did my internship in Kerala, Neuberg Diagnostics as a laboratory intern.

There were tons of placements that approached our college and our department. Lots of students got various job's in Wipro and many other major companies. The higgest package given was 11 lakhs per annum. The students were eligible from the 6th semester onwards.

The complete course fee wasn't mentioned, but per year it was 3 lakhs. The rest of the details is avaiable on their website. Some students get Merit scholarships when they excel well in thier studies from 85 thousand upto 3 lakh. And there are scholarships for backward castes as well.

Clubs was complusory and was given lots of importance. They carried a certain amount of credits. I was involved in various clubs, like NSS, rotary club, kala club and literature club. There are many other clubs students can join. The library is completly air conditioned and has a plethora of books for the students to choose from.

The Hostels was average. The hostels were close to the mess hall but really far away from the main building, where we go to attend our classes. The meals were not to great and not too bad. Many students would just wait for the sunday biriyani.

Karunya was the best college that I could have gone for because of the ambient nature of the environment, the Chirstian themed campus, the friendly faculty, the various opportunities it provides and the easy to understand subjects. THe admission process was easy, and the hostel boarding also was convenient.

The faculty of the department of biotechnology were great when it came to acedemics. They helped with every aspect of the sudies, the laboratory work and they cleared any and all doubts then and there. They were very helpful during the exams as well, some faculty even conducted online classes after college based on the recommendation of the students. The exams were not difficult and was perfect for the mountain of a syllabus we had.
