- Excellent placements: bits pilani has a strong industry network and consistently records high placement percentages, with many students securing job offers before graduation.
- The faculty at bits are superb and also pretty chill at the same time.
- Merit cum need scholarship is given to the best students who are poor but good in studies.
Dislikes
- Grading is difficult , papers are also difficult
- It has very bad bathing water, causes skin and hair issues
- I hate the fact that there are lot of stray animals even in our hostels

- The campus is very beautiful and very scenic, most of the hostels are renovated and there is a lot of greenery
- The hostels have a proper facility of water and other stuff required for living, rooms are decent
- Mess food is very good with special items almost everyday

- The weather is very bad, around 40 degree in summer
- Bad gender ratio, only 1 girl for around 8 boys
- some lab facilities aren't upto the mark

whatever we're learning today will be very useful for us in the future, we follow the course structure of MIT in usa, which is massachussetts institute of technology, boston, one of the leading colleges in technology, so our course structure is top notch.

- The clubs and departments here just don't gire on the basis of skills. They also see the personality of a person by conducting gds and personal interviews.
- The social life here is probably the best a college can provide. Here everything runs on social interaction. The campus life is active all the time
- The clubs here are not just for recreation and fun, some clubs genuinely help you acquire life skills such as understanding stock market,understanding entrepreneurship
Dislikes
- The male female ratio is kind of messed up and that creates a little bit of bias towards girls in the campus
Course Curriculum Overview:
The aspects of my course (BE in computer science) that attracted me are that it is easier as compared to other branches like mechanical and electrical.The curriculum here basically forces you to go to a practice school to get real life experience in the industry which in my opinion is really great.The minor exams are almost every week , but the major exams occur once in 2 months.They are really difficult to score in

- Gender ratio is too low, other guys are too quick
- Travel issues like any needed available in delhi like cinema theatre
- No food delivery apps, badly missing hyderabad biryani
Placement Experience:
Your eligible right from the 6th semester on wards choosing placement cycle semster as 1 or 2 based on your choice. placement will be almost 100% if students have not taken placement. they will be choosing higher studies may be own startup/ family business

- There is no attendence policy you can have your time for learning
- There is no reservation so admission is based on merit
- And all the peers are of same mind so great peer group

I am currently third year actually placements are good until the last two years and average package is high and the opportunities are also great as it the brand value of bits college. So no worry if you are joining the college for placements

Entrance Preview:
I joined in 2002 when the entrance was through +2 percentage. I scored 97.2% in AP board. I would have easily got admission into any of the B-group courses i.e MSc (Hons) course, but I opted in the following order BE(hons) Computer Science Engineering, BE(hons) Electrical and Electronics Engineering, BE(hons) Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, BE(hons) Mechanical Engineering .

Remarks:
Every year the management is just getting better and better it is introducing many new events and bringing new opportunities and exposure to students. I am definitely sure they will keep pushing and doing the same in future.

I took BITSAT(2012) entrance exam -Score:358, This college was one of the best institutes in the country when it comes to computer sciences, among other institutes like IIT Bombay and IIT Hyderabad.

What is your review of BITS Pilani WILP?Does it consider to get lecturer job?

BITS WILP is a two-year postgraduate level course, in which 15 specializations are offered by the university. It is a degree course that is completed mainly on weekends to enable students and professionals to gain a full-time degree course while continuing their professional pursuits.
Pros
- You get associated with the BITS tag
- You can do your PG alongside working
- The course is rather easy and with the right dedication you can complete it in 2 yrs.
- The syllabus is the same for both on and off-campus students
Cons
- You won’t be able to sit for PG campus recruitment
- Not many companies consider this degree valuable and thus makes it is difficult to land a job.
- The admission criteria are rather flexible thus the peer pool is not very filtered.
- Most of the subjects are from bachelors and lack relevance and rigor
- There is no visible difference in the knowledge base of the students.
- The classes are not conducted by the original BITS faculty.
In all, I think the cons overshadow the pros and don’t deem this course a very wise decision.

Is BITS Pilani "Pilani campus" better than IIT Roorkee or IIT Guwahati?

In my opinion, both BITS Pilani and IIT Roorkee are in the same league while IIT Guwahati is a bit inferior to them. Let’s discuss further on the basis of some very common aspects
- Core subjects: BITS Pilani does not focus on core subjects and the research culture is also very inactive. This is because of the extremely laid-back curriculum and attendance policy. The research opportunities offered are very less in comparison to IITs
- Placements: In this aspect, BITS Pilani definitely fairs better with its flagship Practice School program. Students of this program receive many PPOs from top companies during internships arranged by the college itself.
- Campus life: IMHO BITS offers the best campus life owing to the student-driven culture and great academic flexibility.
- Performance: The institutes can be evaluated on the basis of the performance of their students in various entrance exams. IIT Roorkee students score the best in GATE, UPSC, etc. while BITS Pilani scores well in CAT, GMAT, and GRE.
- Peer groups: The average student quality of both the institutes is somewhat similar with IIT Roorkee giving a slight edge to BITS Pilani in this aspect.
Both the colleges have their own strengths and weaknesses and comparing them is illogical. I would say that if you are genuinely interested in CSE, then Pilani will be better for you than Roorkee. But if you aren’t certain of your area of interest then choose IIT Roorkee for its IIT tag.
