IIT Ropar Ph.D: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The fee for phd in mech in the year 2023 was 9600 inr but it has been revised this year to 15200. The complete cost including the hostel and mesh along with the tution fee could be approx 3.5 lac for 5 years of phd. Stipend we get 37000/- PM.

there are plenty of scholarships available, some offered by the institute itself or from the government as well as privately funded agencies. there is not much change in the annual fee, the complete cost of my education is about 50000. the institute provides a stipend of about 37000. some teaching assistant duties need to be fulfilled.

31k per month scholarship for first 2 years then it gets increased to 35k. College fee is negligible and accommodation is affordable. A special facility for married scholars is also being prepared which will be ready soon.

the fee hike is done based on genuine reasons only. The relative cost of fee is average at IIT rpr. Students at ecah stake are given opportuinity to grab financial aids from various sources. PhD scholars get stipend from either some govermental body or Institute.Each year companies come to hire students from the various background. The number of selection and companies approaching for campus selection is increasing year by year.

For PhD fee structure is less, for one semester we have to pay approximately 40000 INR. We get monthly scholarship of 31000 INR from institute or in some cases the funding come from projects as well. It means we can cover all our expenses with this amount. The institute fellowship will only hold for the period of five years. We can also apply for other fellowship programs such as Prime Minister Research Fellowship.

For PhD, we get an institute scholarship.You can also apply for any national/international PhD scholarship from sources like TCS, Google, Nvidia, etcThe placement here is also good. Almost every big company come for the placements.

I love the subject. I wanto pursue my career in academia and research. All the facilities are young and enthusiastic. They all are good at teaching and almost all are doing great in research.

Fee structure for PhD students is great, with minimal tution fees and affordable mess plus hostel fees. Students coming through proper channels get scholarship from MHRD, and there are many opportunities to avail other fellowships as well throughout the course.
