Placement Experience:

The campus placement in mechanical engineering is not good as 80% of the companies are coming for computer science and IT students. Although the mechanical students are also eligible for the software companies but they do not get selected. The number of companies for core mechanical is very less. And due to the joint placement program the other college students also sit for placements which increases the number of students per company and the competition also increases. Also there is no transparency in the placements, as the we don't get to know about the name of companies that have come in the previous semester and also the record of the number of students getting the job is not disclosed by the department.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for placement drive but to sit in placement drive there is a program called top in which we learn aptitude and soft skill which helps us in the placement drive. The average package is around 3-3.5 CTC or LPA. There is lot of competition in placement around 3-5k students sit and at the ends, only 5-10 students is qualified for an interview and then they are shortlisted for job.

Placement Experience:

Yes, it is true they offer placements and internship drives but you will see varieties of companies e.g ITs also, Business also, and core also but few. So the percentage of student gettings placements directly depend on the scores ( include you are good in communication skills). So if are good enough you will get placed. Approximately percentage I would say 80-85% of students get placed.
