- I like our teacher they're kind and very good at teaching
- Fests are , masquerade night,dj night hled 1 time in 3to 4 month,and other festivals like varsity weeks,for playing games such like ,cricket,football, volleyball,and other games,liker kabbaddi , campus experience are very good
- The teachers are very friendly and knowledgeable and very enthusiastic.
Dislikes
- Hostel seats are limited therefore you cannot guarantee to get a seat in the first year.
- The admission process was quite easy but the payment was problem.
- Our website is not that strong so i have to pay multiple time for it to work

- The environment is extremely beautiful (naturally)
- Climate is the best i can think of; always cool, but never too cold)
- Some teachers are very nice and genuinely interested to help you grow

- Internships are extremely low; the few ones who come are not good
- Placement rate is very bad, and average package is extremely bad too
- Lot of corruption; missuse of funds everywhere, affecting the places where actual development is needed

Course Curriculum Overview:
This course might be one of the best courses in yhr University, if not the best. Placement rate, comparative to other courses, is the highest as of what I know.
The curriculum dhould be improved. Lot of unnecessary subjects, that too with a lot of credits. The important subjects are just taught at the basic level, which should be way higher.
The exam frequency and timings are good. But they are way too easy.

- Very Cold, very good environment, shillong is famous for its environment
- This Nehu is under shillong municipality so yes this under the city. Only 5km away from the main center police bazar.
- All market supermarket, cafes, resturant, all the things is under the campus.
Dislikes
- Campus is too big,,,,u may have to walk walk and walk...u may opt cycle or bike or scooter
- In winter shillong gets too cold around 2* C soo.....in this cold it is very hard to study....u need a heater... something water turns into ice
Placement Experience:
Placement is good about 85% got placement from on campus. On campus placement range is from 6 to 8 Lpa ..
Off campus placement goes upto 18Lp...
Medtronic, Ge healthcare, philips, Biocon, many govt companies etc come

- Campus Size. This is a huge campus with a campus area of 1225 acres.
- Labs are good. NEHU has almost all the labs required for a smooth academics.
Dislikes
- Placements should have been better. although is improving.
- You have to walk a lot if your class is far from your hostel.
Placement Experience:
campus placements are okay, it is improving over time... averagely people get placed at 7-8 lpa and some people get placed at 12lpa. Many students go for off campus placements and there they perform very well. students have secured 22- 28lpa off campus.

- The campus view, It's scenic , can experience the nature,
- The events organised by the management is worthy,
- Faculty are good , Professors somewhat helps in academics

- Food inside the campus are expensive, Restaurant and other hotels
- Sometimes Transportation problem inside the campus ,
- Placements need to be improved , The placements are too average
Placement Experience:
Placements of our college is average , The average package is almost 400000 per annum. I will prefer to take placements from outside campus by own. U may also go for further studies after the degree. My plans are too take placement from outside.

- girls to boy ratio is around 60:40, Campus is fully socially interactive lot of free space are available inside the campus to roam around, Greenery is most attractive part of campus. Shillong campus of NEHU is known for its natural beauty.
- Interaction with faculty and seniors are very friendly, Behaviors of non teaching and teaching staffs are really good. Students union is there to deal with any kind of problem academically or non academically.
- Sports facility are well facilated inside campus. Almost every sports and playground is available such as football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, running track, archery ....etc. SAI ( sports authority of india ) is available inside the campus.
Dislikes
- Lab equipments, infrastructure are too old and mostly non working.
- too much distraction, shillong itself is garden of natural beauty so there is so many things to distract you from studies
- faculties are not that well expirenced, you cant expect topics to be clear in class. Mostly professors are old and no new recruitment.
Placement Experience:
from third year or 5th semester you are eligible to apply for internship and placements, most of startups visit every year to offer a minimum salary of 4LPA. highest package offered last year was 24 LPA. i have no plans for now, i am just here to explore life

- Teacher staffs are very helpful,they provide verry good knowledge and explain as well as.
- There are library in where different different course related books and knowledgeable books are available.
- There are bus services available. Strudents can manage classes at time because of the buses.
Dislikes
- There are no cctv cameras in the campus.
- There are no inverters in hostels that's why sometimes we have to face difficulty
Course Curriculum Overview:
According to me the Course curriculum is very good more than other universities. The fees is less that's why i choose this university for the course. The course is new and practical in recent days that's why i choose.
It is very relevant with outer world. In hospitals or any other companies there are very much needed of biomedical engineer and this course in this university provided us practical knowledge that's why we can do better in further academic process.
The timing of end semester exams is 3 hours and the mid semester exams timings is 1hours.

- The academics are good too teachers help students and work on every project related
- Clubs for every department to enhance skills and interaction among every one
Dislikes
- Administration work delay for many things
- Network issues around every corner as the university is situated in the outskirts
- Mess food are not good in the hostels for boys as well as girls
Placement Experience:
The campus of the university is overall average.
We get packages around 10 LPA but mostly students opt for heigher studies as only 10 -20 percent of students successfully get placed
My plans are for masters in technology after the degree . I have appeared for gate and qualified ans i would like to sit for councilling if i get in any good nit or iit

- THE TEACHERS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND SUPPORTIVE. ALL FACULTY MEMBERS ARE HIGHLY QUALIFIED AND MOST OF THEM AREE IITIANS AND NITIANS. THEY ARE FRIENDLY.HARD WORKING AND PUTEFFORTS TOWARDS OUR UNDERSTANDING AND BENEFITS.
- THE HOSTEL FACILITIES ARE ALSO QUITE GOOD. CLEAN WASHROOMS AND STRICT SECURITY ARE THE KEY POINTS. WE HAVE AROUND 12TOILETS AND BATHROOMS IN EACH FLOOR AND 1 HOSTEL HAS A CAPACITY OF ALMOST 200 STUDENTS.WARDEN AND SECURITY GUARDS ARE ALSO FRIENDLY.
- THE CAMPUS IS A HUGE PIECE OF LAND AND SAID TO BE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS IN NORTH EAST. WITH 0 %POLLUTION,FULL GREENERY,CHERRY BLOSSOM,COLD WEATHER, IT IS A PERFECT PLACE FOR STUDENTS. THE CAMPUS IS PEACEFUL AND VERY CLEAN.
Dislikes
- THE PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES ARE QUITE LESS AND HIGHEST PACKAGE IS COMPARATIVELY LOW AS ENGINEERS. THE HIGHEST PACKAGE FOR THIS YEAR WAS 800000 WHICH IS NOT TOO SATISFYING. ALSO VERY LESS STUDENTS ARE HIRED AND CHOSEN LEAVING MAJORITY STUDENTS.
- HOSTEL MESS FOOD IS UNHYGIENIC AND UNSATIFYING. WE FIND INSECTS.HAIRS,STONES IN THE FOOD AND ALSO THE SAME MENU IS REPEATED AND NO NEW DISHES ARE AMDE WHIUCH IS VERY BORING. WE GET EGGS FOR 3 DAYS.CHICKEN FOR 2 DAYS ,FISH FOR 2 DAYS.
- SINCE THE CAMPUS IS TOO HUGE, IT IS REALLY EXAUSTING TO WALK LONG DISTANCES .BUSES ARE PROVIDED AT CERTAIN TIME INTERVALS BUT AT TIMES BUSES ARE NOT AVAILABLE WE HAVE TO WALK MILES TO REACH ONE DESTINATION FROM ANOTHER ONE.
Placement Experience:
PLACEMENT OOPORTUINITIES HERE ARE NOT THAT SATISFYING. HOWEVER IT IS ALSO DIFFICUKT TO QUALIFY FOR THE INTERVIEWS AS 8.00 CGPA IS MANDATORY TO APPEAR IN INTERVIEWS. MAXIMUM OF 20 STUDENTS ARE PLACED EVRY YEAR WITH THE HIHEST PACKAGE OF 800000 PER ANNUM AND LOWEST PACKAGE OF 2.5 LAKHS PER ANNUM. MAJORITY STUDENTS ARE LEFT UNHIRED EVEN THOUGH THEY QUALIFY FOR THE INTERVIEWS.
COMPAMIES LIKE AMZON,TCS, PURSUIT SOFTWARE,CORIZO EDUTECH,INDIGO AIRLINES,ETC VISIT US AND HIRE THE STUDENTS.
ON THE 8TH SEMSESTER STUDNETS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR APPEARING IN CAMPUS PLACEMENT INTERVIEWS. AROUND 40% STUDENTS ARE HIRED IN THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF NEHU COMBINING ALL 4 BRANCHES.

- The environment of the university is very good. Area and landscape of the university is awasome.
- Political involvement is very low in the university which is very good for students.
- Faculties are student friendly, they always help and help us to build knowledge in various sectors.
Dislikes
- The food in the mess is average not very good. It's the most problematic for the students who belongs from other areas of India.
- Equipment of the laboratory is not very well maintained.
- The transportation system of the university not very good. You have to walk more in the university.

From the 6th semester students becomes elegible from campus placement.
Various companies like Amazon, apple, IndiGo, Pursuit software, Flipkart and other companies visited in the university.
Highest package is nearly - 15 LPA
Average package is 4 LPA
Nearly 50-60% students get placed from the university.
My plan is for higher studies after BTech.

- I mostly like about the environment of my college. Specially the beautiful serenity of our college. Meghalaya itself a heaven with full of greenery and our college is not less.Being one of the top university to have a biggest campus in India.
- I like how culturally diverse our college is. We get to celebrate so much diversity together.
- Some of the teachers are enthusiastic to teach you new things. And doesn’t give you so much pressure and gives you time to explore your hobbies.
Dislikes
- Some faculties of department here have very bad management skills and are very rude.
- Some teachers are just there. Gives no effort to teach you new things.
- Placement system is poor. Doesn’t give you so much exposure.
Placement Experience:
The placement system here needs to improve a lot. Most of the students here are not interested toward job and they goes for higher studies. Thought there are so many students to got good placements in their last year.
