• The candidates must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50 % marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination.
• For the candidates belonging to Schedule Castes / Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together shall be 40%.

• Appearance at the NEET is absolutely necessary for admissions to the first year of MBBS course, which is an University of all India character.
• A candidate shall qualify at the NEET.

• Candidates shall be an Indian National and have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of his / her admission to the College.
• He should have passed the (10+2) Higher Secondary Schools Certificate Examination or an equivalent.
• In case of Foreign candidates, He/she should have passed examination from any School / College situated abroad, as equivalent thereto shall submit equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

KVV Karad offers admission to its MD, MS, and MDS courses based on scores in the national-level entrance exam, i.e., NEET PG, followed by state counseling. It offers MD in 15 different specializations. The first-year fees for the MD courses vary from INR 35,000 to INR 32 Lakhs. Each specializations are offered for 3 years. KVV Karad MD/MS/MDS Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate will be eligible for registration for Post Graduate Degree, if he has completed satisfactorily one year rotating internship after passing Final M.B.B.S. Examination and has got himself registered with the State Medical Council.
• No person shall be registered for the Post Graduate Degree course unless such a person is in a position to work as a full-time Resident student for the period applicable in his case.
• The candidate will be selected according to the existing rules and regulations issued by the Medical Council of India.
• The academic merit, for admission to degree and diploma courses shall be on the basis of merit as determined by NEET provided further that minimum percentile of marks for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Course shall be 50 percentile or as decided by the Govt. of India at the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Biotechnology/M.Sc. Microbiology mandates candidates to pass B. Sc. with minimum 50% marks with the following:

• With Biotechnology/Microbiology/Industrial Microbiology/Zoology/Botany as the principal subject or Biochemistry/Microbiology/Botany/ Zoology as a subsidiary subject at B. Sc. II level for M. Sc. Biotechnology.
• Microbiology/Industrial Microbiology/Biotechnology as the principal subject or with Microbiology or Botany/Zoology or any Biological subject as a subsidiary subject at B. Sc. II level for M. Sc. Microbiology.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Microbiology mandates candidates to pass B. Sc. with minimum 50% marks with:

• Microbiology/Industrial Microbiology/ Biotechnology/Chemistry as principal subject
• Microbiology Botany/Zoology or any Biological subject as a subsidiary subject at B. Sc. II levels for M. Sc. Pharmaceutical Microbiology.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Environmental Sciences:

• Candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree in Science in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university.
• All fields of science – Environmental Sciences, Zoology, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Life Sciences.
• Qualification in Entrance test conducted by KIMSDU.

KVV Karad Ph.D. Eligibility

1. Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
2. Provided that the relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade shall be allowed for SC/ST/VJ-NT(Non-creamy layer)/OBC(Non- creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC.
3. All the candidates for the Ph. D. programme shall be selected on the basis of an All India Ph. D. CET and an Interview process administered by the University.
4. An interview/viva-voce shall be organized for those who have qualified in the All India Ph. D. CET.
   1. In the interview, the candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a duly constituted Committee.
   2. The interview/viva voce shall also consider the following aspects
      1. The competence for the proposed research.
      2. The research work can be suitably undertaken at the Institute.
      3. The proposed area of research can contribute to new/additional knowledge.
5. The candidates register to Ph. D. Programme on the basis of their academic records, the performance of the candidate in the All India Ph. D. CET, and interview.

KVV Karad Entrance Exam

The entrance test (MCQs of one mark each) shall be conducted by the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, Karad, as per the notification issued by the University.

• The medium of language for the All India Ph. D. CET shall be English.
• The entrance test shall have 50 MCQs of Research Methodology & 50 MCQs of subject Specific (as mentioned in the application form)
• The syllabus of the subject specific at the PG level applies to the Entrance Test
