The 18th batch had 683 participants. There is no campus placement, so IIMK publishes no average pay in LPA for this course.

Should you pick EPGP at IIM Kozhikode?
This course suits working professionals who want an IIM MBA and can study on weekends without leaving their job.
Pick it if:
You work in IT and want a move into management: IT is the biggest group in the last batch, so many classmates are making the same switch.
You want the IIMK name without leaving your job: you get an MBA degree and IIMK alumni status, with a network of 12,000+ members.
You cannot study on weekdays: the weekend session has classes only on Saturday and Sunday, from a learning centre in your city.
You may face a transfer or a busy year at work: you can take a break of up to one year and rejoin the course later.
Skip it if:
You want a campus placement at the end: this course has no campus placement, so any job change is your own effort.
You want small classes and close faculty time: the last batch had 683 participants across 67 learning centres, so classes are very large.
Your company will not give you leave: you must attend three one-week campus modules at Kozhikode and pay your own travel and stay.
You pay the full fee yourself: the fee is INR 16.87 Lakhs and IIMK publishes no scholarship for this batch.
Counsellor's advice
If your company will pay the fee and give leave for the three campus weeks, apply in Phase I for the next batch. If you pay yourself, pay the acceptance fee only after your manager agrees to the leave in writing.

In short
IIM Lucknow costs less but needs you on its Noida campus every other weekend. If you live near Noida, look at it; if you live far away, IIM Kozhikode lets you study from your own city.
In short
IIM Trichy is cheaper and shorter, but classes are on its Chennai campus every weekend. If you work in Chennai, weigh it; if not, IIM Kozhikode is the easier fit.
In short
IIM Ranchi also mixes online classes with campus stays and costs less. If fee is your main limit, compare it; if the rank matters more, IIM Kozhikode stands higher.
In short
IIM Indore's Mumbai course needs 5 years of work and classes on alternate weekends in Mumbai. If you have 3 or 4 years of work, IIM Kozhikode is the one you can apply to now.
Fees and pay can change. Check each college site before you decide.
FAQs on IIMK EPGP
Short answers to what students ask before they apply.

What is the full fee for the course?▾
The full two-year fee is INR 16.87 Lakhs. You pay it in seven parts, and the INR 1 Lakh acceptance fee is adjusted in the first part. Travel and stay for the campus weeks are extra.

You need 3 full years of work after your degree, counted on the last date of your phase. Work before your degree and internships do not count.
Do I have to write the EMAT?▾
Not if you have CAT 75 percentile, GMAT 700 or the GRE minimum from the last 3 years. Otherwise you write the EMAT and clear your category cutoff.
Is there a campus placement after the course?▾
No. The course is for people who keep their jobs, so there is no campus placement. You get IIMK alumni status when you finish.
Can I still apply for the batch that starts in December 2026?▾
No. The last date for Phase III was 17 Aug 2026. The next batch is expected to open Phase I applications in March 2027.
The course is led by a mix of faculty, with some members like Surya Prakash Pati, Aishwarya, Shikha, and Dhanush receiving positive feedback for their qualities. However, there are mixed reviews due to some teachers lacking in-depth knowledge or appearing to prioritize self-promotion over teaching. The college fees are currently 14,00,000 and are expected to rise to 16,00,000 for the next batch. Students should also anticipate additional expenses for travel, lodging, and flights related to the campus immersion program.

IIM Kozhikode: 7 Answered Questions
What is the value of an EPGCOM from IIM Kozhikode?
Harsh MehtaStudied at IIM Kozhikode
EPGCOM is one of the best certification courses offered by IIM Kozhikode.
If you’ve worked for a while in the operations domain, and wish to climb the ladder in your company, this is an ideal course for you. It is meant for professionals with some amount of work experience.
It demands a fundamental understanding of operations, and is not meant for freshers or professionals with zero experience in this domain. Moreover, the course does not offer any placement assistance. The faculty and teaching methodology for EPGCOM is top notch, which is obvious as IIM Kozhikode is a renowned management college.
Overall, the course is good, but only for professionals with experience in the operations domain.
How is the response to the IIM Kozhikode's PGP-LSM program? Is there any significant difference for the candidates selected with the general MBA program in terms of candidates pool?
Ananya KhannaStudied Marketing at Management Development Institute, Gurgaon (2018)
The students' response to the IIM Kozhikode's PGP-LSM program was good. The demand of the course was also high.
But as far as the response of the industry is concerned, I think it will take a few more years to assess this. The course is new and will offer opportunities different from that of a general MBA program. Both the courses are not likely to overlap in significance for a few more years.
Deepak MehtaMBA from Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (Graduated 2019)
The PGP finance program at IIM Kozhikode is indeed good. IIM Kozhikode is the 4th Ranked B-School in MHRD NIRF Ranking (2021) among the top 100 Management Institutes.
The PGP Finance is a two-year full-time masters level program designed to aid students in pursuing careers in the financial world, in domains such as corporate finance, investment banking, and wealth management.
Most of the courses are very easy, especially for commerce graduates from DU or other reputed colleges.
What do you think about IIM Kozhikode's MBA in liberal studies?
Hrishi GanuMBA from Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode
IIM Kozhikode’s MBA in liberal studies is a fresh change from the traditional MBA. It helps in the comprehensive development of students. Moreover, IIM Kozhikode has the best faculty when it comes to Humanities & Liberal Arts in Management.
Some amazing features of this course are:
It teaches the students soft skills like management, empathy, leadership, etc which go a long way over hard skills like complex excel models, and well-researched reports taught in traditional MBA.
The course is a good choice because of its content. You will have to select many of the Humanities & Liberal Arts electives to complete their degree requirements.
Companies considering HR, or Consulting roles will definitely prioritize you.
IIM Kozhikode’s MBA in liberal studies offers a fresh perspective and is not a bad choice.
I'm working in a joint venture of Indian government and earning 7 LPA. I'm selected for IIM Kozhikode PGP course (2021-2023) Should I join it?
Mahak SenguptaPDGM from Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (2016)
Whether to join IIM Kozhikode or not is definitely your call because the scenario once you join IIM K would be different.
I would like to share with you an experience of my friend, who attended IIM K.
He dropped out of IIMK as he found it stressful. You should know that the course is rigorous and it prepares you for the stress that you are about to deal with.
Obviously, the chance of you earning a high salary is for sure. But again, it depends on how well the economy is doing.
Most of the time the employers have a preference order, i.e. IIT>NIT>fresher, for recruitment.
To ensure good placement opportunities try to be in the top 10% of the class in terms of GPA. Also, you can become a part of organizing events, leading clubs, etc.
Since you will have 12 months of experience, you will be treated as a fresher and won’t be allowed to sit in lateral placement. So, OPs companies will be out of the picture which is maybe your interest since you are coming from a similar background. So, if you want an OPs job role, stay in the industry for another year and then join IIM K.
In order to get a consulting or finance role, you will need to come in the top 10 of your batch. You will also need CFA certification.
Marketing and IT companies will prefer you since you are a fresher. So, if you are interested in Marketing or IT, you can definitely join the institute.
HR companies don’t usually visit IIM K.
So, I will advise you to consider all these factors and make a more convenient choice for yourself.
I have 4 years of work experience in e-commerce. Is the IIM Kozhikode EPGP beneficial for me? As opposed to other IIMs its a 2-year course.

The profile you have will suit the two-year (hybrid model) EPGP program. If you do not wish to leave your job then this course can be good for you. Otherwise, you can go for full-time programs of one year at IIM ABC, SP Jain, or ISB. These are currently some of the top one-year programs.
E-commerce has gained a lot of popularity over the years and the scope is tremendous. Having work experience before joining an IIM will always get you plus points.
You will have good placement opportunities in IIM Kozhikode. The recruiters who visit the institute also offer very attractive packages. The average package is also high which makes the ROI manageable. If you take EMI it can be paid easily in five years. Internship opportunities are also provided to the students.
