Good college to study

Likes

College offer diverse courses that encourage critical thinking and knowledge expansion
Campus environment and culture was very nice.
Extra curricular activities involvement and giving chances to all the students

Dislikes

Computer science students did not have placement facility.
Improper assignment of guest lecturer which made students suffer.
Politics during any cultural activities competition.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam focused on both therotical concepts and practical application.This attracts me to choose this university. The university is well known for its research opportunities.It will help in go further.The way of teaching methods needs to improve.

An overall review of psychology department in SDM PG centre, ujire

Likes

It's neat and disciplined campus, it provides various courses of post graduation, there's seprate campus for PG courses
Staff of psychology department is very friendly and has good teaching skills and staff are very supportive and understanding as well
It gives real time knowledge about the courses, hosts various workshops and events, activities as well,

Dislikes

The campus is not that big compared to other colleges
The main library is bit far from the PG campus, it's in UG campus which is 800 meters away from PG college
There's no cafeteria in the PG campus, it's in the UG campus it self

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it 4.5 out of 5 because it includes all relevant topics which are necessary for both counselling field and clinical field The psychology course here offers specialization in both counselling and clinical both fields that's why I chose this The carriculam is contains relevant topics, every subject has practical aspect to it, syllabus covers all of the psychology concepts which are necessary 2 internal are conducted and final sem exam in the end , with moderate level of difficulty questions

I,m satisfied with university academic standards and opportunities provided for us to showcase our talent. Campus environment is described as vibrant and supportive.
university provide active campus life for the students with various back rounds. numerous cultural activities and events are organised.
faculties at mangalore university s well regarded for theit teaching expertise and methodologies. there is personal attention and effective mentorship.

Dislikes

lack of communication between university management and student body
there is very less placement opportunities provided from the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cirriculum s current and manageable, which positively influenced my decision to enroll. college provides opportunities for internships. we got less time to finish the syllabus whic effected my exam preparation. scheduling suplementary exams after a year poses challemges for the students to clear backlog papers. difficulty level of exam is manageable.

campus environment and culture- campus culture was very inclusive which made it easy for students to connect with each other
numerous cultural festivals, events, workshops
intercollege sports competition, there were students from various cultural backgrounds so students can form a meaningful relationship with people from diverse background which helped to grow personally and professionally

Dislikes

career support- if career services arent well established, students might struggle with job placements.

i choose M.Sc IN CHEMISTRY because i have always been passionate about chemistry subject and wanted to pursue a deeper understanding of it. The curriculum focused on both theoretical conceps and practical applications , really appealed to me. Topics like renewable energy, biodegradable materials and waste reduction process could be integrated into the course

College has well equipped with all lab instruments that are very help full for the students

Canteen facilities are not affordable for every student's

The course is very demanding nowadays so that I choose that course. There is no improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. Most of the time they prepare us for the real world applications.

In the third semester we will get a placement opportunitt. Companies like syengene, syngenta, anthem, pharma these companies come for placements. Average package is 3LPA. Only 40% students they will select during placements. My further plan is to do PHD

Good environment for study, lab facility is appreciable
A vast library with enough reference books and journals and also research papers.
A placement cell for guidance and future job opportunity

Dislikes

More emphasis on skill development can be included
Should include communication and personality development programs
More opportunities should be provided to face different entrance exams for research purposes

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell to provide the campus selection for the deserved candidates. Different companies approach with pretty good amount of packages. The students can even try in local colleges for the job opportunities which will pay a fairly good amount

Specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the library. The lab experiments prepares students to face the real world application. The frequency and timing of exams are bit difficult, we will get only a day gap between exams

canteen facilities are very much disappointing

The syllabus is very basic and there's not much of a difference between ug in pg with respect to the syllabus. Faculties are very supportive, syllabus doesn't focus much on research aspects. Every semester goes hand in hand with 6 months of maximum duration in each semester.
