Campus life of IUST

Likes

The infrastructure and the faculty who are very excellent
The strict routine about everything either it's classwork or exam
The location of the university in a natural view

Dislikes

Transportation this thing irritated me a lot
Long class work which starts from 9 am to 5 pm

Something about IUST

Likes

I liked the faculty of our department. It is highly qualified.
I like the transport facility because it makes it easy for students belonging to areas far from the university
I like the various cafes and hangout places in the university

Dislikes

I disliked the sports facilities because there are not many.
The university is very passive towards events
It is located in a village far from srinagar

Admission:

I did not opt for any other college because I was restricted to admission in jammu and kashmir only and there are not many colleges there but IUST stands out because of its facilities. The admission process is fairly easy. i attempted the JEE exam and easily got addmission.

Maintainece needed .. especially for the playgrounds

I didn't apply for any other college... I was clear to join this college as I had heard good reviews about this college... addmission process was quite simple the guideline came directly from the college so it was much easier

Likes

I like the faculty there. They're quite fine. The teaching standard is good overall.
The university is quite young and keeps growing in terms of infrastructure and curriculum
The hostel facility is quite fine. The washrooms are clean and the food is good.

Dislikes

The university students are too competitive.
There’s hardly any activity you'll get to do.
The teachers practically run after the attendance

. I applied for JEE josaa counselling apart from this college, .I got admitted in the NIT srinagar however my branch was Mechanical which i was not intrested in . The admission process of this university was quite easy and similar to the rest of of the colleges . I Visited their website, applied for the course, got admitted there in both of the courses i had applied for i.e B. Arch and B.Tech CSE. But I chose CSE as it was what i was more inclined towards. . I had a good experience here overall with the studies however my mental health got disturbed a little bit

IUST is not as bad as it seems.

Likes

The faculty of our Department. Theyre all highly qualified and hardworking.
The Labs and equipments provided in the university are high standard.
The transport facility provided by the university is very affordable and very helpful.

Dislikes

It is very far from Srinagar, where I live.
The academic burden on students is too much.
The sports activities and venues dont have a great condition.

Admission:

I did not apply for any other colleges because I wanted to opt of a degree in Computer Science and IUST is basically the only university in Kashmir that offers the said course with quality. I had scored 72 %ile in JEE but that did not bag me a seat in CSE OM, so, I decided to apply for Self Finiance seat. That cost me additional 200000 INR but I did get a seat in CSE.

Likes

In the university There is friendly environment, So, you can feel safe and enjoy
The faculty members are very responsive, and they help you every time
You’re going to get your degree at the time

Dislikes

They don’t provide you placements, so you have to find jobs on your own
Then fresh structure is not as good as compare to the Kashmir University
They don’t provide you the information at the Time when you need it

Admission:

There are two colleges and universities where you can pursue this degree, but as compared to other colleges like SSM and Kashmir University, I found it reliable and admission process is very easy as you have to go there. Submit the documents after your exam is qualified for the degree.

The all over environment of college campus with most compatible faculty.Labirary environment and browsing centers.
That was a girls college about 4000 girls were their in college .
The gaming room was the section i loved most.The carrom,the table tennis etc.I loved the indoor games a lot

Dislikes

Rude behaviour of female teachers and unavailabilty of coperation of other college mates
Unavailablity of health aid in college such as medicines.
Unavailablity of college transport on every route.

Admission:

I choose this college because of its good environment.I also choose it because it was near my home and travelling was easy for me. I reach home everyday within less time and could revise the things that i learned their.

A Scenic journey: My experience at IUST, Awantipora

Likes

Beautiful location : Iust is located at the foothills of serene mountains, offering q picturesque and peaceful campus environment o
Good infrastructure : The classrooms provide a comfortable and conducive learning atmosphere
Good transport facilities: University has made available extensive bus services which really helps students in commuting to and fro.

Dislikes

Lagging in placements: The university is currently lagging in terms of placement opportunities ,while there is a placement cell ,the number and quality of placement have room for improvement.
The students of core branches like civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering don't find it easy to get placement.
Lack of Exposure and Extracurricular Functions and events

Admission:

I had to stay in Kashmir for personal reasons and couldn't study outside. That's why I choose Islamic University of Science and Technology as it was the best option available at the time. My other choices were Kashmir university and SSM college ,but after comparing the three I concluded that iust was better option for my education.

Teacher’s are the best and there teaching style is very interesting
The class rooms are large and clean and gives a good vibe while studying
Projectors are Installed and business lab is available for smart activity purposes

Nothing Because everything is perfect So there is nothing To be disliked

I choose this college because this college has the top faculty members, and the one who introduced robotics 1st many of the college do not have robotics. This college gives everyone opportunity to live in the real world.We, money experience from the college we can get admission through CUET exam

College adminstration is very good as I and my batchmates never had any complaint about them, they were always ready to help
Transport facility for the students is very good
Hostel facility is very good and scholarship money was paid on time

Dislikes

Engeneering departments only focused on theory learning
Sports facility was below par as university only focused on academics
Some professors cannot teach as they are not of that level

Admission:

I applied to Kashmir University and my admission was confirmed there but I chose this college because it was comparatively of low distance than Kashmir University and administration of Islamic University of science and technology is very good compared to Kashmir University.
