IUST Faculty

The faculty at the university is recognized for its high level of expertise and dedication, with a faculty-to-student ratio ranging from 1:15 to 1:40. Permanent faculty members comprise 20% with Ph.D. qualifications, while 80% are contractual with M.Tech qualifications, primarily recruited from prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs under the TEQIP scheme.

Faculty members are approachable, knowledgeable, and committed to student success, offering a blend of theoretical and practical teaching methods. The examination system includes two exams per semester, consisting of internal and external assessments totaling 100 marks, with a requirement of passing 20 marks in each. Despite some challenges in the contractual appointments and departmental finesse, the university maintains a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.
