IUST B.Tech Electrical Engineering: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The Islamic University of Science and Technology offers a B.Tech program in Electrical Engineering, which the reviewer joined in 2012. The program is taught by a highly-rated faculty, scoring 9 out of 10 for their education and supportive nature. The semester fee is 30,000 INR, exclusive of extra costs like transport, hostel, and exams. Hostel accommodations cost 6,500 INR per semester, with a monthly mess charge of 2,700 INR. Payments can be made both online and offline, with an on-campus J&K Bank extension for convenience.

The entire engineering program costs about 5 lakh INR over four years, with semester fees of 30,000 INR every six months. Eligible students can apply for the Merit Cum Means Scholarship, offering around 25,000 INR annually, provided their family income is below 2.5 lakh INR per annum. Despite the availability of campus placements and visits by companies post-graduation, job placement rates are relatively low, and there is no stipend policy.

The first batch of Electrical Engineering students faced challenges with placement drives, although opportunities increased after course completion.
