- The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
- Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
- "hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.
Dislikes
- The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
- Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
- Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

- The campus is beyond beautiful.The weather here is perfect but a bit cold.

- The anti ragging culture here is very strict.so you can't explore the campus much in first semester

Placement Experience:
I have information about my branch only.Last year the average package was 8.24 lakhs and highest package was 24 lakhs.
The placement was greater than 95%.
The placement in chemical engineering is pretty decent.
Many core companies and tech companies come here for placements.

- Hostel food is okay just like everywhere
- faculty teaching methods are fine not bad

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course structure of computer science and engineering is fine you get decent knowledge of computer science fundamentals like database management system, computer architecture, company networking, operating systems and object oriented programming.

- Nice Campus, beautiful view,The college is situated in mountains of Himachal Pradesh so the view is breathtaking
- Good faculty,supportive teachers,nice attitude towards teaching
- Good sports facilities, plenty of clubs to join
Dislikes
- Bad boys to girls ratio.In a class of 100 only 20 girls.
- Hostel allotment.There are 4 people in a room which is way too much
- Many rooms have damaged LAN sockets,wifi doesn't works properly
Placement Experience:
The highest package in my college was Rupees 1.73 Crore Per Annum in 2023 in CS and average was 12 Lakhs Per Annum in CSE.
Almost 80% students get placed in my college.
My plans after getting a degree would be to pursue higher studies.

- The Teacher student relation is very positive and supportive.
- Various opportunities in terms of Technology, Cultural, Self development, Fitness and Sports. Special attention to mental fitness through Seminars. Classrooms are newly digitalized with smart boards. Wifi connection available throughout the campus.
- Medical Center is well maintained and an Ambulance is available 24×7 for any small or big emergency. A chief medical officer is also present 24×7. The roads are clean and Greenary is well maintained.
Dislikes
- Mess food can be made better. Only First year students get the best food. Quality of food degrades with time.
- Washroom are quite smelly and are cleaned after every 2 days.
- Water shortage is a big problem in the entire College. Mostly you will get water for drinking. Though College management is doing everything they could to overcome this problem.
Placement Experience:
The Placement of our college are above average. The placement percentage for the year 2023 was 84%. Over 80+ companies visit the campus for internship and placement programmes. The average package was 7 lakhs for 2023. The highest was 40 lakhs bagged by CSE student. Top companies like Google and Amazon also visit the campus. College initiates the internship programmes from 6th semester in 3rd year. Top companies include Samsung, TCS, Wipro, Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra, Paytm, Intel, HDFC Bank and many more.
Currently I have planned to go for on campus placements after my degree. I have also planned to do a side Hustle in my area of interests during my college life.

Big companies like Intel, Google, and Amazon come here for placement . Average package is also good at 12lpa
And max was 1crore lpa
Many societies are here that help in internship and making connections

- Nice campus placement rate for ECE and CS.
- Gender ratio is not that bad as it's around 1:4
- Food is good compared to other hostels for 1st year.
Dislikes
- Bad bathrooms and very bad hygiene I would say.
- Teacher's teach outdated syllabus even for CS and ECE
- Reservation cutoffs are very less compared to gen.
Placement Experience:
I think 3rd year students can apply for campus placements and 70% of the students early can sit for placements and maybe CGPA is around for qualification in sitting placement is 6.5.
My plan is also to get a job in a company like Nvidia.

- The study is outdated and i don't like the washrooms of hostel

Placements are very good in this college like I said before... The avg package of college is around 9 lakhs and of CSE it's around 13 lakths which I things is good maybe ... But according to me it's good as compared to my jee mains score

- Beautiful campus. The plants and grass is well maintained throughout the campus, the infrastructure is very good.
- The campus is very clean and is very large. 320 acres of space in the entire campus.
- The entire campus is connected with great smooth roads with zero potholes
Dislikes
- The hostel has water availability issues.
- The sanitation in the hostel washroom isn't the best right now due to water supply shortage.
Placement Experience:
The placement is decent, most branches get a good placement percentage, CSE is the main highlight here and other branches like mechanical and electronics and communication engineering also get decent packages.

- Losts of Free time as on most days classes end at 1pm
- Campus is beautiful ad its in the moutains.
- Climate is good and temperature is lower.
Dislikes
- Syllabus is outdate like most colleges have.
- Not enough freedom given to 1st year student .. a bit of ragging too.
Placement Experience:
3rd year students can go for placements.
I dont know companies that came last year... but a friend of mine's brother got placement in Oracle as he qualified for Gshock.
Your cgpa needs to be greater than 7 to get placed i believe.

- If you came to NIT Hamirpur you can experience a very good atmosphere around. It's a quite beautiful campus in mountains
- College infrastructure is also well developed and you can even experience great sports facilities available at the students activity center..
- College seniors are quite good and supporting in almost every field.You can come and join various societies present in NIT Hamirpur
Dislikes
- Being a first year student you need to enter the hostel by 6:00 pm
- In first few months you are allowed to go to the local markets on weekends..
- There are certain boundations and rules you need to follow in the first few months of college..
Placement Experience:
Generally students are allowed to sit in placements from their 3rd year onwards..Campus placement offers you a very great opportunities to work and join various leading companies..Colleges placement percentage stood around 75% and highest package offered is 1.73 crores to a student after his BTech.
