The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
"hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.

Dislikes

The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

Pros and Cons of NITH

Likes

Surrounded by beautiful greenery,situated in Hamirpur distt. Of Himachal Pradesh
Good technical activity clubs and society culture.
Good faculty and resources to provide the best opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of Nit Hamirpur more specifically based on industrial or real world problems solving scenarios. It help students to tackle the real world problems and come up with optimal solutions to problem. The exams level is touching the gate level.I thing teaching should be in bilingual maner(Hindi and English)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the first year will be a bit tough but the coming years will be as per your branch. First year includes basics of all engineering which is essential for overall growth of an engineer. Apart from that all the clubs and societies have their eyes on the first years. So its always a bit hectic but its upto a student to manage time efficiently

Likes

Campus is lush green with good infrastructure.
Mess food is quite good as compared to other hostels
The culture of this University is quite good. Seniors helps juniors a lot.

Dislikes

Teaching is not up to the mark. It can become better.
Campus is closed so you cannot go outside without permission.
Very much restrictions on first year students. They need to calm down

Placement Experience:

The campus Placements from computer science department is quite good. Almost more than 80%+ students gets placed every year with an average package of 10 lakhs approx. students can opt for placement in their final year or 3rd year. For internship students can opt from any year.My plans after getting this degree is to get a placement or to go for doing higher education (PhD).

"Inside NIT-Hamirpur"

Likes

learning new subjects and diving in the subjects i was passionate about. Participating in campus events like concerts, sports and other festivals.
joining clubs, organizations. Engaging in discussions and debates that challenged my thinking.
utilizing the college's resources such as library ,labs.

Dislikes

Heavy workload including number of assignments, projects and exams.
Its very hard to balance academics with extracurricular activities .
Raging is one of the main thing i would like to dislike most.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is excellent for exam last year one student got 70 lakh package of chemical engineering.Average package is 7 lakh of this college. If college placement is not offered one can apply for off campus placement and can also prepare for some exams .

THE REALITY OF NITS

Likes

Ourr campus is the one of the most beautiful campus among all nits .the infrastructure of our clg is good the environment pf our clg is calm amd have too postive vibes .nit hamirpur provides us good facilities and technology and make our future brig
The placements of cse and other branches is also good and the tecahers are also very helpful and motivate the students erveytime and give the solution of every problem of student .the sports facilities are also very good in our college
The main thing which i like about my clg is that there are many societises and clubs in ourr clg for organization of fest so studebts can get great knowledge by gettinv slelcted to this clubs and socities .nih works on over all development of a stude

Dislikes

I thingh the rank of our clg is going down due to the mistake of students as well as professor's also .. this is due to the bnot a good good bond betwen students and teacher

Placement Experience:

The placements of our clg mainly cse dcs will get upto 20 lakh per anum packages there are MNC companies which come to our clg and hired student from this clg .the palcemts of civil branch is 10 lakh per anum which ia low as compared to other branches so my views if you are coming here for placements so dont take civil branch ..because the packages of this branch is very low

The Evergreen campus with Incredible Skilled Students.

Likes

Nit, Hamirpur is a very beautiful evergreen campus.
This college have a good gym management and equipment
The thing I liked the most is Fogg and the climate which is very cool.

Dislikes

Transport inside the college is too bad.
The food management is not that good in this college
Southern people won't get southern foods.

Placement Experience:

For campus Placements students of 6th semester onwards are eligible.Many top companies will visit the college like Infosys, Accenture,Amazon etc. Highest package is 173Lakhs and average package is 7.54 lakhs.

College Infrastructure is really good, academis are also well maintained

Core branchs of NITH is really impressive and have shown high selection rate in previous years, explanation by practical labs have been performed by can improve in thr firld of lab report file preperation, semester exam are of moderate level and occur 2 time un a semester and 4 time un a year

good placement for top branches like cse , and mnc
the time table and for classes is lineant there is not so much pressure of attendence here
no as such restrictions and beautiful view of himachal

Dislikes

drug culture and alcohol culture is here
quite bad placements for lower branches like mechanical etc

Placement Experience:

cse have the best plcament in the college and god amount of company also comes avg cse package will be aROUND 15 LPA al;so event one have 15-20 lpa in cse (i am in training and placement cell) for other branches avg is like 9 for uper ones for lower its like 6 and most of the people there go for higher studies

Likes

Campus beauty is the one which catch the eyes of all
Also the personal development one can develop easily here due to environment

Dislikes

Strictness is bit too much and accumulated in a small town so outing for a day is not so well as its small town

Placement Experience:

Placements is moderate type its just if u have good cgpa and skills u can get a high package of ur desire but if u stuck on average then u might fell short from ur desire package as avg is not so much high leaving some branches

BITTER TRUTH

The campus is spread over a large area and is well-maintained. It has modern facilities like a library, hostels, and sports complexes.
NIT Hamirpur has good infrastructure, including modern labs, computer centers, and high-speed internet. LAN is available for every student in their hostel rooms
NIT Hamirpur hosts several major fests like Hill's fake , Nimbus throughout the academic year, each catering to different aspects of student interests

Dislikes

Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. Mess food is also not up to the mark . Overall hostel condition is not good. Almirah and chairs are broken ,
Remote location : The campus is far from the urban areas making it difficult to access city facilities.
Strictness : There are very strict rules for freshers which bound them exploring the campus and other things .

Branch-Specific Placement: Computer Science: 95-100% Electronics and Communication: 90-95% Mechanical Engineering: 85-90% Civil Engineering: 75-80% Plans after getting degree I am planning to do M-TECH from Germany in Mechanical engineering.
