Course Details

Himachal Pradesh University offers various Courses with different specializations. Students can apply for the programme through an online mode. It offers a full-time Postgraduate MCA (Master of Computer Applications) Program with Duration of 3 Years.

Admission to MCA is done purely on the basis of merit of the candidate. Merit is evaluated on the basis of the entrance exam that is conducted by the University.
The MCA programme offered by HPU does not contain any Specialization.
Candidates must have completed their Graduation in any Discipline for Admission in the MCA programme of HPU.
First-year fees of MCA programme is INR 9,130.

Eligibility Criteria for MCA Course at Himachal Pradesh University is as follows:

Candidates must have completed their Graduation with 50% of aggregate marks from a Recognised University established by Law in India.
Candidates must have completed their graduation with Mathematics and computer science as compulsory subjects.
Candidates may have done BCA/ B.Sc. (IT)/ B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ B.Sc. Physical Science (Computer Science)/ B.A. with Computer Science/ B.Sc. Honours with Computer Science or any graduate with computers as one of the subjects in all the three years of graduation with at least 50% marks.

Note: SC/ST Candidates would get a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate.
