About SPA Delhi
School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) New Delhi, is a premier institute of architecture established in the year of 1941. It is deemed to be a university having recognition as an institute of National importance. The college is ranked #5 in NIRF 2023 ranking for Architecture. SPA Delhi has collaborations with SPA Vijaywada, SPA Bhopal and B.R Ambedkar University of Delhi.
SPA Delhi offers B.Arch., B.Plan at the UG level, M.Arch., M.Plan., M.Des., MBEM at the PG level, and also doctoral programs. Admission to the BArch and B.Plan program is offered on the basis of JEE Main Exam. - UG Admission: Admission to B.Arch., B.Plan is done based on scores obtained by the candidates on JEE Mains. Candidates qualifying the exam will be called for counselling process

Ans. SPA Delhi offers a BArch program for a duration of 5 years. - Canteen food is good here. The nescafe as well.
- The library has a huge variety of works from seniors and thesis of our almunis from over the last 50 years

- The administration is really bad here. They work like every other govt office. Very slow.
- The hostel condition while not bad is still not great too. The mess food may or may not give you an upset stomach. Be careful of MB hostel.

I tried for some other DU universities. I even got into Miranda House but at the end I decided to come here because I had some friends who were here already and also because of some other connections. The course I got into in Miranda wasn't something my mother wanted me to go for as well so here we are.

- The campus is too small for the vast amount of students
- The hostel too far from the college and we have to pay extra for the travel charges since there is no services from the college's side after giving the hostel some 6.7kms far
Admission:
The college is of national importance and we did not know the course was too hard and sleep deprived and has a very small campus and a hostel at 6.7kms far and no sign of getting a new campus dues to internal issues

- The faculties here are well experienced and guide us through a proper curriculum which kinda stressful yet it is what we need learn. The practice based learning is the base thing which actually differentiate us from the engineering course.
- The college value is pretty visible whether I working as an intern or going to conventions. Other colleges always sees us as different species and our work is obviously better
Dislikes
- Our college being and institute of national importance lacks infrastructure
- Our college can't even accommodate the students. We literally need to fight for hostel every year.
Admission:
This course only takes JEE qualified students. There is a 2nd paper of JEE conducted specifically for this. The cutoffs for this university is too high, around 200 is the cutoff for generals. Me being a general and my rank was around 180 so got in the 2nd round. The JEE examination happens twice.

- College has various weekly talks, discussions, meetings, etc. They bring in many well-known architects who are doing great in the profession.
- College had a very good professors. In the later years, the curriculum and the professors who teach them are very good.
Dislikes
- Due to various reasons, there is decline in the quality of professors in recent years.
- The infrastructure of the college is not good and students have to travel 10+ kms everyday from hostel to college.
Admission:
The admission is done through JEE MAINS Architecture exam. The cut-off is quite high as the college is one of the top college. The exam happens once in a year. The admission process is quite simple and feasible.

The admissions take place through josaa counseling only The exam does not need much of preparation if ypu have prepared enough for 12th and you are good at sketching. The total fee structure for M.Arch at SPA New Delhi is iNR 2,64,000 for 2 years.
SPA New Delhi does not accept NATA scores for admission to any of its courses. Admissions to the courses are based on UCEED, GATE, JEE Mains examinations.
SPA Delhi conducts its own counseling for admission in the B.Arch program. Students with valid JEE Mains score can register themselves and attend the counseling conducted by the university.
