i got college because of my rank , i did not wanted to take this but had no other option , i wanted dtu over . if you are getting dtu , then go for dtu, it was my last option, addmission process is very tiring i had to waste one whole day for this

Can I get into the Nit Delhi?

Likes

The college are small in area so we don't have to walk more for classes . It provide more facilities in small area.
The hostel are clean and the bathroom are hygienic.
The nature of teacher and professor is so supportive.

Dislikes

It is constructing so it is look more like constructing site .
The mess food is not nice and there is 5 students in per room so it quite noisy.
There are not so much availability of resources as it is at the outer from the delhi and transportation facilities is not good.

Admission:

For the eligibility for pursuing your degree in electrical engineering in nit Delhi you have to gain minimum rank of 30000 in gernal category. You get the admission through jee conduct by nta and nta take the exam of jee main in two level . The two paper had in two months in which you had to get the good score so that you get your dream college. You can get the knowledge of application form , date and fees from official website of jee main , and many other websites. Jee aspirants must have patience and not be nervous in the exam because the paper is not so difficult as you can't do it but proper strategy makes help to get your admission in your desired college.

Review about my first individual decision in life (NIT Delhi)

Likes

I would like the fact that the college is situated near highway, and it is easy for us to avail any things, especially for students in hostel to get any kind of accessories and our clg is just 13 km away from nearest metro station
The college as of now is under development and though as of now it has all the basic amenities like playground, gym, library, volleyball court , basketball court , lawn tennis court etc
The girl, boy ratio is around 4:5 . It is also appreciable that all the students here are so friendly

Dislikes

The main thing is that this college is under construction and we have to face a bit issue with the construction dust and all
For 1st year students the hostel provided is 7 km away from the college
The library and the meeting hall(auditorium) is not enough for the students, it can be developed

Admission:

I got 99.31 percentile in JEE MAIN 2024 and 118 marks in JEE ADVANCED 2024 . Being a general category student, it is difficult for me to get into any of the IIT in a good branch( the same year there is an abrupt hike in cutoff marks nearly 20-30 marks than previous year) So I decided to get into NIT with a good branch rather than other courses that Im getting in new IITs Now my best available options are EEE in NIT warangal, ECE in NIT Calicut and ECE or CSE in NIT kurukshetra/ Delhi I was pssionate in choosing ECE branch as I was keen on learning about chips, and semiconductor devices and their wide applicability. So either I can to Calicut, kurukshetra or Delhi. I have choosen Delhi over the others as it is a capital city and there is a high exposure to industries. Calicut nd kurukshetra also offers a good and those are old NITs, but it is a bit difficult even for transportation and even flight charges are so high for Calicut from my home town (VSKP). So keeping all these things in mind I choose NIT Delhi ECE The admission into NIT Delhi is only though JEE MAINS, so score well minimum 99+ percentile to get a decent branch in NIT Delhi(for a general category student)

I love this branch and place as delhi has much more culture and heritage and also our college gives so many opportunities for job and vagere Ad the city is capital to our country it is worth it to go to this college

Mera safar at NIT Delhi

The thing that i appreciate the most about my college is our campus.To be honest, although a few thing are under construction but still the campus life at nit delhi is lively. Many small small architectures are being placed which are very beautiful.
There is very cleanliness present in our campus. Many tress were also planted recently. Shades for walking is currently in progress. Two canteen are also there within the campus which offers most of the neede items.One of them is Amul which is great.
The faculties are also nice and helpful of our college. The sports facilities are too good worth mentioning. They take us to tournaments even with flights which is quite appreciable.The playing courts are also nice as the coaches.

Dislikes

One should not lie incase of writing an honest review, there are area of improvement. the institute's campus is relatively small compared to other NIT's, which limits green space. And trees are currently in growing stage.
Expanding the campus improves hostel facilities which would enhance student life. as at present we live in about a room of 5 students. the first year faces a lot of difficulty as they have to adjust as 8 persons in a room on bunk beds.
Also more emphasis on industry collaborations and internships could better prepare students for upcoming opportunities.

Admission:

As i read on the internet NIT delhi is a renowned institute and its prime loaction was one of the reason for choosing it. I was getting one of the top most branch here that is computer science and engineering. I did apply for artificial intelligence and data science branch here but it was an after option here. I applied it gatiskakti vishwavidhyalaya situated in gujraat, a progressing institute established by indian railways. I got artificial intelligence and data science there but the reason for not choosing it was it was quite far away from my home and the travelling was not so easy. I also applied for NIT allahbad as my first priority but wasn't able to get into its cse because of my ranking.The admission process of our college is very easy just qualifying the ranking and submitting other required details on the josaa website. When we are qualified we are called for a physical reporting for our document verification. Then we have two threee days orientation which make us known to the campus and schedule.

Hows my college and me

Likes

Professors Their way of teaching is good and make things understandable
Ragging free campus and easy to approach senior and they arw helpful too
Classmates they are good and polite Thos introverts like me have no way to get in a friend circle

Dislikes

Mess food Its not even upto the expectations and charging so much Did many complain but not much changes just good food for 3 to 4 day after complain and then again become lousy
Hostel location for first year Its too far and the area is not good either at night
No bus stop near college makes it harder for student to catch bus when get late or want to leave early after classes are done

Admission:

Well. This was the only college i was getting through jossa counselling and im proud of it i made it till here Tho if i had worked harder i would have gotten in better nits or maybe in iit but i lacked in many ways i tried improvement but got distracted easily so i lost and reached here

the academics of my college is good also provide a good carriculam and focus on knowledge and practical things
our college is established in prime location so there is wide range of internship and placement

Dislikes

there are not good infrastructure in our college
also college have small area around 51 acre only so i also does not like this

i applied for nit delhi and mnit jaipur. mnit jaipur because this college is near from my home and also provide good facilities and placements and nit delhi because this college was established in prime location so there is high possibilities of internship and placements ans also provides good facilities and curriculum

Admissions through defense quota depend on your priority category:

Till 5th priority category - Confirmed admission with any AIR.
6th priority category - Admission depends on other applicants’ rank.
7th priority category - No chance in the general defense category.

NSUT Round 5 cutoff for general defense category Delhi students (JEE Mains 2023) is given below-

To get admission to NIT Delhi one needs to appear for the JEE (Main) exam and also secure at least 75% marks in Class XII or be within the category-wise top 20 percentile in his/her respective Class XII board examination. Admissions to NIT Delhi are based on your rank in JEE (Main) through JoSAA Counseling and CSAB Special Round.

For the year 2023, the NIT Delhi GATE cutoff was

General: 367-574 marks
SC: 257-420 marks
ST: 232-311 marks
OBC: 330-512 marks

It's nearly impossible to get any branch in any of the colleges mentioned above. The colleges mentioned above are all NITs in particular NIT Goa, NIT Jaipur, and NIT Delhi.

None of the NITs open admission for the rank of around 180k so it would be better if you should prepare well and appear for the exam in the next year or take admission in any private college. There's no chance that any NIT would offer admission for 180k rank.

As per the analysis of the previous year cutoff of the NIT Delhi for JEE Mains, you can et admission with the minimum 15598 rank. Candidates having passed 10+2 Examination from any State or Central Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent, in Science Stream (PCM), with at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ ST). Candidates appearing for the 10+2 examination are also eligible. The candidates need to appear for JEE Mains and have a valid score, and attend the JoSAA Counselling. Candidates must visit the college website for the detailed admission process and fee structure
