At NIT Delhi(B.Tech CSE) the fee structure varies with family income category but overall mostly stable with minor increase over year. For 2025-26, per semester fee (GEN/OBC/EWS with income >5LPA) are INR106500 which include tution fee, institute fee, admission and annual charges. With hostel(non AC) its INR144500 per semester. For families 1-5 LPA , INR102500 per semester including non AC hostel..and for <1LPA SC/ST/PWD its only INR82000. Total fee for 4 year =INR6.3-10.3 lakhs depends on catagory. Scholarships/Financial aid: Tution fee wavier if income <1LPA. Partial wavier for income 1-5 LPA. SC/ST/PWD fee concessions as per govt. norms. Merit-cum-need & govt scholarships available via NSP/Jansamarth portals.

For General category students, the annual cost is around ?1.65–1.85 lakh, including tuition, hostel, and mess, making the total B.Tech expense roughly ?6.5–7 lakh over four years. However, the fee structure is highly inclusive. SC/ST and PwD students get 100% tuition waiver, while those with family income below ?1 lakh pay almost nothing except hostel charges. Students from income slabs ?1–5 lakh receive two-thirds tuition remission. Multiple scholarships like Central Sector, Merit-cum-Means, and ONGC further reduce costs. Though hostel and mess fees have slightly increased in recent years due to inflation, NIT Delhi remains far more economical than private colleges. The year wise fees I paid 133000. Tution fee-18300. Caution fee-2000 Admission fee-2000 Library fee-1800 The fee of batchmates are paid as same as me Nsp scholarship are available for students they get amount by category wise.

The year wise fee to be paid is 3 lakhs including everything ( hostel for 2 semester's, mess ) For general category students it's around 1.5-2 lakhs for semester Admission fee is 2000 ,tution fee is 65000 , development fee is 5000 , library and book bank fee is 1500 , examination fee is 1500 overall Institute fee is around 14500 this also include everything above and group insurance is 1000 , caution fee is around 20000 and this is for Students with general, OBC , EWS category students with above 5 lakh salary of family members

On overall review of NIT DELHI

The fee is increasing by 2 thousand every year, it includes tuition fees of around 80000 and hostel fees of 28000 and mess fees of around 18000. They take mess fees in advanced instead of taking it monthly

My side story of my college

So we have to pay our fee in semester wise which would be around 84k then we have to pay hostel fee mess include which is 48k ,we have two options which is ac and non ac , non ac would be 10k lesser than 48k and then coming to scholer ship it would depend on government exams and your parents yearly income, the whole sum Tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees and the other compulsory charges would be included in 84k rupees

Life in a developing college

I think yearly the fees is 48000 and we can avail for government scholarships (people with income under certain criteria) and the fees might be increasing I haven't noticed it in a while. And the fees structure also varies from category to category, and I don't know what is the fees structure of other categories.
